Great video and great song choice. I used to think that medicine held answers and healing for life until I got bitten. I have first hand experience with the living hell these drugs are. I am now convinced psychotropics are all bad all the time. Some people swear by them but it is my belief that the only mechanism by which these drugs work is brain damage. These drugs are the modern day lobotomy, in 50 years they will look back and say "what a bunch of barbarians". Stay the fuck off of them.

This video is just a joke. Psychiatry SAVES lives, not destroys it. I have Bipolar Disorder and thanks to modern medicine I am alive and working in society. Without my medications I would have been dead through suicide MANY years ago. I could not function without my medications. If you're experiencing problems on these medications you probably did not have a medical need for them and shouldn't have been taking them to begin with. But there are some of us who do need them and for us these drugs .

You're full of crap. Antidepressants take weeks to get into your system. So if you felt homicidal and suicidal in the first few days, it wasn't the drug. You won't notice any changes for at least a e few weeks. If people have had bad reactions to these drugs, they probably didn't have mental diseases that required them to be on them. Stop blaming drugs and take responsibility for your actions.

I had a psychotic reaction while taking effexor only 2 days or so after I started taking them I thought I was being stalked the the Gestapo, no joke. Some people really probably can benifit from drugs, but Doctor are pushing this stuff like it's candy to people who don't need it, along with the people who do. They never mention any of the nastier side effects either.

Antibiotics and alot of medications has psychotic adverse reations as well as infection,vitamin def.,poor diet ect.These doctors have physical proofs of these but they label you and overmedicate you and the physical proofs are not adressed.

I suppose it's fine to say that a person prescribed drugs for a chemical imbalance they actually have is better off, even if the drugs only treat the symptoms.

Perhaps if there was a biological test a person could receive to prove they had a physical problem it would be safer to treat them with drugs.

But there is no such test. A psychiatric opinion is not enough.

Misdiagnosis is more the problem, in my opinion.

Since there's no proper evaluation, it's like playing Russian Roulette.

I understand mental illness. I am bipolar.Was put on Prozac.Went manic. 3suicikde attempts AFTER prozac.Put on Depakote (mood stab). I slept 15 to 20 hours a day for 5 years.

There is no diffinitive test for psych "subjects - patients". NONE. ALL SUBJECTIVE testing, whcih draws on personal knowledge of one individual. It is not Lithium being questioned it is the side effects of anti depressants AND the FDA allowing these meds to go to children. PSYOTROPICS blasts brain chemistry.

I was put on Prozac, went manic, diagnosed bipolar, yet kept on antidepressants for 14 years. Diagnosed seratonin syndrome Jan 09.

The point to this video and the attack on psych./internists who prescribe meds w/o insight is indeed EXCELLENT.

I have come off so many meds. I am writing today because I am off meds.

There is not a way to definitavely diagnosis psychosis.. It is a subjective diagnosis based on individual knowledge of ONE PERSON..

I was put on Prozac in 1996, went manic, 3 suicide attempts. Prior, no suicide attempts. I competed horses XX, dressage and jumpers. It tooks hours of discipline. After Prozac, landing in mental hosp 3x, and losing my husband, gave my horse away. I am drug free. Bipolar proud and never will be medicated into submission again

I almost went insane twice with paxil and clonazepam....I cant even put into words the absolute horror that I went trhough trying to come off of these drugs made by the devil himself!!!!! All you have to do is google whatever drug you on and then put the word "withdrawal" after and you will find out the info.Also there are web-sites for people who wish to come off in very,very slowly.

MindFreedom did a hunger strike a few years back and the APA admitted that they have no evidence of chemical imbalances.

I never abused anything, I took Zoloft for only 3 days and it made me homicidal and suicidal. After that when I stayed on it for four months and raised the dose twice I experienced a worsening of the urges the more of it I took. That's proof of the drug causing it - it's dose-dependent. Then when I stopped taking it I got better.
