@d3m0nfl4m3 Get some aka truggy tires from eBay. They are way better that proline, and only $45 shipped to your house for a set of four. I use these with 6s lipos and the tires hardly balloon at all, and have never unglued from the rims.

it looks like everyone is overgeared for too much speed ? If was running on a track like that I would be running a 11/68 and have instant acceleration ! but thats just me ! I wish there was a track close to my house in Pa.(or atleast within 50 miles or even 100 lol)

@chaddythepimp1973 Nope, The trucks are geared just right. The lowest gearing I tried was a 16/68 and it was to slow top speed & the midrange fell off too soon.

I'll try to explain: The twin 550's & single 775's have so much torque that if you gear them too low, the motors will spool up past the sweet spot, and you will not utilize the full torque you need with such a heavy truck. Ideally I have found that 18/68 works best for this kind of racing. ~Combat Chuck

Oh I didn't know you were running the stock motors, yeah those 550's need some decent gearing for them to work well, I thought maybe you had a brushless setup in them or something else, and those motors don't really have alot of torque, I used 2 in my clodbuster once to try them out and my 19T matrix racing motor (540 size) probobaly doubled the torque output of a 550 titan, The higher voltage of 14.4(or .8) does help but anything less than 14.4 v and they are Blah lol have a good one !

@chaddythepimp1973 We are all running 16.8V (4S) This is a stock motor class. Titan 550's or a Titan 775 only. 540's will burn up in a heavy e-maxx/erevo with this amount of voltage in series.

yes thats a good reason not to run 540's lol I ran a v-twin setup for a few months on my e-revo with 7.2v and it was pretty killer but yeah 14.4 would be motor friers with most 540 sized motors ! what state are you in by the way ? hopefully close to Pa. lol

@initialkracing i have my e revo geared 17/68 on the 550s and the gearing is perfect. you should try it it works well

@pieman12345678987654 I ran that gearing last year. In fact this very race was won with the 17/68's. I'am running 17/65 this year and would like even more top speed in the straights. Will be running 17/62 real soon. Thanks for the suggestion though. ~Combat Chuck

@initialkracing wow fast reply. the reason i went with the 17t pinions is beacause the stock 19t were overheating my motors and batteryies. just from driving in the street the plastic would melt off the batts. and there not even crap there venom 5000 8.4s.  i just got my 1/10 slash 4x4 yesterday and it is nice.

Well I call em stikers, however they are really Duratrax striker knock offs. p/n DTXC5260. I run & prefer the Imex medium compounds over the strikers. Imex is lighter!

I recommend the Revo 3.3, Brushless E-Revo & all Savages highly. E-Revo...the best electric monster truck hands down. Revo 3.3, the fastest & best handling nitro monster truck on a dirt track. My favorite trucks have to be my Savages though. I have 3!!! Bashing is a blast! ~Combat Chuck

I thought I was replying to Sam211194. I've got an E-Revo brushless and 3905 E-Maxx brushless myself, powered by 6S/MMM/2100kv and 4S/MM/2500kv setups respectively. Motors are Mega ACn 22/45 series 6 pole torque monsters.

I own a Rustler and an E-Revo, totally different rides. The suspension on the e revo kicks ass.

It's not front heavy at all. In fact, I run only one motor in the back. The weight distribution is 47/53. It's just my driving style. I'm too used to running nitro which jump different than electric because of motor drag.
