guys i really need some help. i cant move my camra around. i've held alt, shift and nothing happens. im on a laptop so i cant use my mouse wheel. please help!
@TheGreatRukh02 if you're using a three button mouse, you can just use the middle mouse button (click your wheel). Alt+left click is the alternative for people who are using a two button mouse.

Yeah i know the 2.5 series are way better, but i dont have the time to learn an all new interface again, hell it took me 8 months to get the grasp of what i know about my current version.
@TheWaynelds If you go to blenderartists forum and search for "everythings gone" there is some advice for finding files there that may help. I realise you want to delete the project files but it could be of use.
It also tells how to use the 2.49 interface with 2.5 ..but.. read it carefully before installing 2.5 (if you choose to do that). You can unpack files then open the newly created folder, delete files and repack. Hope that helps.
Yeah i downloaded the newest version back in june and saw that most of the interface and shortcuts are completely different and got a little overwhelmed, but some of the things i'm trying to acomplish can only be done in the 2.5 series so i do want to learn it before they change it again. i guess i just have to suck it up and spend a couple months getting the hang of it once again. oh well, thanks again :D

These tutorials are REALLY good, I'm using blender 2.49b but I'm still able to apply most of the stuff from your videos. To anybody else whose just starting to learn blender I recommend watching all his videos.

Blender is a great basic tool for home use but the viewport looks horrible it don't turn around the object it's more like trying to turn around the object but can't do it very difficult love maya or max they don't have this problem I have worked with Blender but it's so unfriendly to use..

Ummm, something to help your video quick would be to add times when your talking about certain subjects.
For instance; when you begin to talk about the view mode at 0:40 and then end it at 2:30 when you change to the next topic.
Add the subjects and times to the description box would also make it easier for people to locate and learn about specific tools. It would also keep a record of everything discussed so if you think of anything else it can be added to the next tutorial.
If I remember correctly, you can. One program that works well with blender (From what I hear) is makehuman. I have yet to actually attempt this but from what I hear and seen on other videos it is possible.

Blender is a great basic tool for home use but the viewport looks horrible it don't turn around the object it's more like trying to turn around the object but can't do it very difficult love maya or max they don't have this problem I have worked with Blender but it's so unfriendly to use..

Ummm, something to help your video quick would be to add times when your talking about certain subjects.
For instance; when you begin to talk about the view mode at 0:40 and then end it at 2:30 when you change to the next topic.
Add the subjects and times to the description box would also make it easier for people to locate and learn about specific tools. It would also keep a record of everything discussed so if you think of anything else it can be added to the next tutorial.

If I remember correctly, you can. One program that works well with blender (From what I hear) is makehuman. I have yet to actually attempt this but from what I hear and seen on other videos it is possible.
