I have to say, that it is indeed disgusting that we are not venturing further out into space and that the governments are too involved in mining minerals from other countries at the moment. It seems that the thirst for new discoveries has been replaced for the need of power and money only. We are now devolving!
Thanks to Obama, by the end of this year, there will be no Shuttle, no Constellation spacecraft no U.S. manned space program, no way for us to get into space.
Obama's NASA budget perfectly captures the difference in spirit between Kennedy's liberalism and Obama's.
Kennedy's was an expansive, bold, outward-looking summons. Obama's is a constricted, inward-looking call to retreat.
Fifty years ago, Kennedy opened the New Frontier. Obama has just shut it.
OK SO WHEN IS THIS COMMING ? you dazzel us with these great trailers and I'm looking forward to see this but are there any dates of when this movie will be released ? thank you.
@EasyWolf31 I agree, except for the energy thing. Because the grant grubbing scientists with the colossal 'fusion device' still have not figured out how to make it do anything but suck up huge sums of money and energy after 40 years. Solar energy is the way forward, especially in space. Even here on Earth we have green tower dot net. Besides the helium3 on the surface of the moon is just another form of fossilized solar energy.
Actually, humans can survive in space. It's extremely difficult but it can be done. And the reason we aren't up there now is that the politicians in charge decided that other things were more important than space travel, such things as the Vietnam war for instance.
@MalRenyolds This is a very naive statement. Without the cold war (which Vietnam was part of) there would not have been a space race, and we never would have gone to the moon. So without the same people who would pay billions for the Vietnam war, there would not have been billions to spend to beat the Russians into space.

We need to start building bases and start mining helium 3 for energy on the moon, to se it as a hub from earth to mars and other planets,.

@EasyWolf31 Helium 3 is profitable.
If it isn't profitable... It isn't worth it...
Sadly the politicians agree with this and can't see the benefits of Space Travel.

There are humans constantly in space 365 days a year, 24/7. You don't know what you are talking about. Humans have never left space since 1950s!

well, not quite, but there has been the abilitz to put humans in space since the mid 60-s and we have been doing so since then.
