Let's not forget that this is entertainment and that is the reason why we are watching. If the stories were all the same then we would be complaining about that. Sometimes you have to expand on the subjects to make them interesting. I have been watching these movies for years now and the quality has gotten a lot better. You have to broaden the story line to appeal to an audience outside of your normal area. So enjoy !
