  • This group has got to be the most UNDERRATED group of the sixties!!! After listening to a few of their songs here on youtube, I'm wondering how come they've haven't been praised ENOUGH!!! In other words, I'M HOOOKED!!!! I especially enjoy how Brian jam on that Hammond!! I'm only 32 years old and I'm ENJOYING their muisc!!

  • @tcidolfan About underrated bands, try to listen this band: Mighty Baby. They have realesed only two records, but made of gold!!!

  • Julie was my first crush in 1969. I still love her now.

  • Heard this song on one of my father's C tapes way back when I was young and now found it here. Thank you for posting! Quality is way better than on that old C tape :)

  • Stunning!

  • So Fine, so Great . . super voice

  • Julie ....great emotions in the years of the end of my chilhood !

  • Genius : )

  • Is that a Fender VI? I think so. He is playing it like a bass. Check out all the cool players that put a Fender Vi on record in the xixesties.

  • I agree, there is nothing I don't like about JD and the BA3. The vocal, production and song are brillant.

  • Julie Driscoll, the swingin' sixties' most striking visual icon.

  • Yella movie song :)! Great song great movie :)!

  • I've been searching all over for the complete video of this

    It's AMAZING! all of them!

Anybody know where I can find it complete? by chance?

It must be a french show, or director ,or something

Thank you for sharing these masterpieces!

  • Simply W O N D E R F U L ... what else ?

  • @riccardomariarmt You're absolutely right.

  • Fantastic...

  • this is dynamite absolutley awesome why wasnt this chick a bigger star??????

  • it ain't dylan. it's him david ackles

  • @ptjkane so true, love !

  • A Dylan-song, I think. This version is great and so is her voice. Memories of -68; a friend of mine went to London, there she cut her hair lust like J D. Hmmm.

Thumb up for Driscolls outfit. Too.

  • @TheOldyeller1 The song is By DAVID ACKLES, I think. Great !!

  • This was the realy great, big; Julie for ever

  • Excellent - I've loved this song since I was 12 y.o - and I still do. Thanks a lot for sharing

  • Wat is dit ongelooflijk goed geconserveerd. Orgel+violen+julie driscoll =pure klasse

  • This version of "Road To Cairo" features a different arrangement than the recorded version. Another great example of how talented this group was!

  • Wow! Never heard this one or her before! LOVE IT!

  • I thought the song was being played live as it differed slightly to the record, if Julie was singing live then she was spot on, just like the record, maybe the band playing was playing live & Julie miming? great song/lyrics fantastic singer, I'd love to see her smile.

  • Julie + Brian + Trinity = Goosebumps

  • wow

  • Fantastic voice

    Excellent song

    Can't stop listening

  • senasational voice - wonderful version

  • SUBLIME...

  • This was around the same time they also were filmed in part of the Monkees special 33&3rd.

  • great, great after all these years.....

  • this is good stuff - great david ackles song, julie taking off where nina simone left off - visaully very impressive - french maybe?

  • Yes it's French indeed. The show was called "Idea" and co-billed Julie Driscoll and pre-disco Bee Gees. Director Jean-Christophe Averty and Belgian artist Guy Pellaert joined forces with amazing results on this program broadcasted on the French 2nd Channel on the new year's eve Dec. 31st 1968.

    And - Jesus ! - I saw this live !

  • What was Julie Driscoll like live? I just love her voice.

  • Biggest difference between this and other versions is that Brian plays a clavinet or a harpsichord on the original studio version as well as subsequent live versions. I like it better without the clav, and I also prefer the horn arrangements on this version. Does anyone know if a recording of this version is available on an album?

  • vengo de ver Yella en eurocine =)

  • Nice version... Brian's organ is much louder than in the version I've heard. Anyone know the deal with the different versions?

  • nearly everything, can cry when i see todays trallalllalla-girls......

  • A great version of one of David Ackles' gifts to the world.

  • Always way ahead of her time was Jules...truly great song!

  • Thanks!![used to see them @ the Black Prince]

  • bella...brava...ed eccezionale!!

  • One of my favourites from Jools! BTW, did you know she worked for the Yardbirds Fan Club before joining Brian Auger?... ;-)

  • Brilliant captures, thanks for posting! This music makes me cry.

  • I noticed this version sounds a lot different than the version on the record.

  • DAMN!!!! Now THAT'S talent!!!!

  • One of the greatest songs - EVER!

  • totally agree
