  • You mean Hawkwind join him ....no chance !

  • i prefer the new drummer cat on drums shes fuckin amazing :D

  • Ha !!! terrible lemmy wanna beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee >>>> bass assassin number 2 LOL

  • Gunslinger wrote a lot of their material in 1979, before Motorhead had even released 'Ace Of Spades', and most of their material had been written by 1982.

It's too easy to dismiss this band. I prefer Alan in Bedouin and Hawkwind too, but I bought this album (Earthquake In E Minor) and got a whole lot more than I bargained for!

Nobody is denying that Gunslinger are influenced by Motorhead, Alan is a fanatic, but any Motorhead fan will love this band if they give it half a chance.

  • @CosmicOzric AND LEMMY LOVES THIS GUY! :)

  • @CosmicOzric Bass assassin number 2, lemmy called him!

  • @CosmicOzric Well said mate!

Thank you to all for the comments.

    Nigel

  • He can do better! :(

  • i prefer Alan in Hawkwind...and Bedouins also ... i think he changed style for money reasons..Space rock is still underground (thank god)

  • Very strange idea about money ...not musical freedom then ? He got a lot of money in Hawkwind did he ?

  • @Astromenon1 dude you need to get your facts right, Alan was working on this BEFORE he joined hawkwind, so how exactly has he changed? surely he changed to be in Hawkwind?

  • Sounds like sub-Lemmy to me! He even copies the neck!

  • Just to say I met Alan in Wales back in June and he's a totally brilliant bloke, funny, generous.....he is the manOh yes! and of course he's also the best and most rocking bass player in the UK. Bless you Alan, Twas an honour to meet you.

  • Alan Davey is possibly the world's best but most unknown bassplayer - Please everyone buy his stuff. Coax him into doing loads of bass chords and 'Sputnik Stan' type opusses.

If you dont, I'll remind the world that he played with Dumpy at Mildenhall once (but it was brill, so I guess there's no real threat there actually).

Alan is bass assasin No 1. Anyone who can write 'Vision Quest' has got some big stuff going for them.

  • @lemmy3motor3head Alan is a dangerous man on bass! Agreed!!!!

  • I was there to see limehouse lizzy, but enjoyed gunslinger too.

  • Mr alan davey's gunslinger will poke you in the eye, then wobble your bottom- you can feel the sheer power through your eyes down your spinal column and then it kicks your arse-

    from a dalek in lancaster

  • Top tune Al and the gang.

Nigel must be well proud of y'all slingin yours and his notes out there ;)

  • Noisy bugger that Alan Davey!!

  • Powerful Rockin' Alan and gang!

  • Woot! Woot! Nemesis.

  • 1000 percent rocking guys!! yeah we have a few distorted vids--still very cool!!i dont know how he sings and plays bass at same time like he does!!

  • Excellent video Alan...

Was a great pleasure to sit and watch.

I'm the ugly one on the inside cover of the album :)

    Greatly enjoyed,thank you :)

    Nigel Potter.

  • Think I was the fly in AD's ear! ;-)

  • Wasn't a fly, it was small boy in front of stage with earplugs in !
