I have to say that in looking at this video, while I am no aeronautics expert, I am lead to believe that what you captured on video here are UFOs or maybe one big UFO with lights underneath it kind of like the large dleta shaped ufos seen in Belgium back in 1989-1990. Have you had the footage professionaly examined??

The fact is, they are Unidentified objects. Skeptics saying it is ground lights are no better than people saying for a fact they are extra terrestrial/dimensional beings. They are unidentified and unknown, that is why they are called UFOS. they are a mystery and something interesting to spark debate and conversation but unfortunately there rarely is any logical debate, just opinion pushing from either side.

@Muirtty I was sitting in the plane looking out the window and they apperared to be much closer to the plane than the ground, they would have had to be massive if they were on the ground to be that size from 40,000 feet :)

At :39 there is another set of lights in the upper right corner. I want to say reflection but the angle of orientation do not match the closer more visible set.

those are fishing boats with powerful lights pointing into the sea to attract squid. I've seen them in Thailand.

If they were flying saucers, they would be the most boring and slow flying ships.... I do believe we have been visited numerous times, but not on this occasion.

@SkywatcherLevante at the end , when the coast line appears, you can see small ground lights, that light up the surrounding area, you can see those lights refect off the ground and they are small. if they were lights on ships, they would be reflecting the structure of the ship below them, besides sitting in the plane, these " lights appeared to me to much closer to the plane than the ground.

@angie7dino It seems to me that you've captured some sort of airborne craft. I don't think it would be boat or ground lights because they stay beside your plane. The video is 9½ minutes long and a plane can move a great distance in that amount of time in relation to stationary boats in the water. If it was boats or ground lights, in 9½ minutes it seems that you'd have flown out of filming range.

@cbloom6550 How could you possibly tell? The lights are against a black background with absolutely no frame of reference, nothing detailing size or motion or orientation. Objects at airliner altitude are going to appear as though they're crawling by, even if you're traveling at 400 mph. Did you see how slowly the cityscape appeared to move in the latter half of the video? What's more, the lights (boats) DID get out of filming range, even quicker than you described. You're a loon!

Are you sure they aren't reflections from the interior lights? At 38 or 39, I see some more little lights to the upper right of the window. Makes me think you were catching reflections. I'm a believer, but I'm not sure about this footage. I'm always suspect when they are filmed through a window.

At 3:26, the light is actually seen INSIDE your window. Like where the frame is. Definitely a reflection.

@meadowgirl I understand what your saying, however the main lights were no reflection, I do notice that the 4 lights change postion over a couple of minutes, so they are either stationary elevated lights off the ground high enough not to reflect light back onto the ground or UFO`s sitting in formation ? as a recreation pilot I like to take the window seat.

looking out the window I could see them up in front , then we were abeam them , then flew past them.

@meadowgirl Ididnt bother them, by the time I saw them, I had to get my video camera out of the over head and then just catch what I could, Ididnt want to make a fuss while most people around me were sleeping in case they thought i was making a big deal about an engine fire or something .lol

@rainbowdragon131065 they were lower , however much closer to the plane than the ground.. and if they are ground lights , wouldnt they be reflecting large part of the ground ?. it pays to keep a video camera on hand to catch the unknown :)

@angie7dino You can't just ASSUME the lights were closer to the airplane than the ground, nevertheless MUCH CLOSER to the plane. If you're trying to distinguish and identify what you're seeing then you can't just make a baseless assumption to suit your whimsical inclination. Grounds lights wouldn't be reflecting anything, the ground would be reflecting the light, that is for certain. What isn't known is if this guy's camera could even resolve that relatively dim reflected light.

@RipDeLips I`m not assuming I was sitting there looking at them " myself" with my eyes.. and they apperaed much closer to the plane than the ground , thats what got ,my attension bigtime and if you look at the end of the video.. you will see how my camera catches the light reflected off the ground in town.....

What was true color of the lights?

At 4:49 were they reflecting off the ocean?

Can't tell if your plane was tilted when getting the opening shots -- where these as high as your plane or lower?

@seeingUFOsPA Hi ! I was looking down at the lights and out at an angle, they were defineately closer to plane than the ground.

you miss the depth of fiield on video as apposed to seeing it on video.

I had been flying over alot of islands and towns previously with really small little lights and you could easly see the small lights reflecting off the ground, but these were huge. !! I`ll take another look at 4.49.

The colour of the lights were a magnesium bright white

@angie7dino Ah yes, understandable -- I get that misjudging on my videos as well -- the flat 2D computer screens do not do these UFO justice! I find It helps to add annotations & pauses to vids like this with statements as to your eye witness estimation of altitude and size to help us understand what we're looking at.
