Animals, including humans, have to kill to live, whether they are plant or animal eaters. Humans are omnivorous since the time they were hunters and gatherers. So the killing isn't the shocking part, but criticism can be made of the industrial manner it is done. I doubt that killing a mammoth and cutting it up was any more pleasant.
i dont see very many people quitting their 9 to 5 jobs to raise their own meat and vegetables. this is what has to be done to feed the majority of americans who rely on farmers. if you ate today, thank a farmer!
i dont see very many people quitting their jobs and raising their own meat and vegetables.... so this is what has to be done to feed you 9 to 5 workers that dont produce your own food. if you ate today, thank a farmer!
@lmschl01 you cannot "rais" Meat! Meat is not a thing. Its part of animals that are not wothless! Once we said, black people are worthless, we said women are worthless, we now know better. But animals still are worthles in the opinien of most people, so we treat them like things. Thats wrong. They have feelings and they diserve not to suffer.
nothing about that is cruel. how else do you expect to feed millions of americans every day? animals were created to be a food source, look at nature. is anyone calling a coyote cruel when it rips open a bunny and eats it? no. that is the way nature intended it. its called the circle of life. this is how america is fed.
I think the thing here is not "eating animals is wrong", but how far away from "the circle of life" this huge industrialization of living beings is. I don't think you need this to feed millions of people, I think you need this if you want to make a lot of money with as little cost as possible.
@natanielcostard the animals didnt had a choice. They just get killes, so you can abuse them. so you can make a choise. That is not a matter of opinien, this is murder and cruel. Call it an opinien, i call it a crime. they do deserve to live. they have feelings and a will. they are intelligent. They suffer god damn!
@lmschl01 ONE COW can Feed lets say...2 small Families. The Wheat, that cow ate while beeing fatten, can feed a whole village! If you want to feed the world, stop killing animals and start eating vegetables, wheat, soy ect. Animals havenot been created. And we are not in NAture. We are in sivilisation. We make our own rules. In nature you could also kill epeole,in zivilisitaion you cant. So i think it is wrong to kill feeling animals. We are not part of that circle anymore. We destroy it every day.
@deftone19 Indeed, we are completely out of the circle of life. That's I think the main cause of ALL the problems of humanity. We can't return to our place in nature, made to the conditions of our race, where we belonged & where we lived in 'harmony'. We're forced forever to live a human life in a human world. We are not created for a world like this & it's awful to see how people have lost themselves in their own creations. How farther we get in progression, how farther we live from our origin.
@CornillieJunior I think we kind of need to take ourselves out of the circle of life to an extent. I'm sorry, but I don't want to have a relationship with every pig, cow, or chicken I eat. I'm plenty content just eating. I've hunted, killed, and cleaned my own food too, but I don't think I need to live along side the farm-stock I plan on consuming.
@04GLImattsahn Humanity needs to refind respect for what (s)he's eating & he has to be thankful for what there's given from the earth. These animals give their life, and if we don't thank them, then they've died in vain. The common 'production'way in which animals are treated (chemically, productionally, without any respect or without thanking them...) shows how we've lost our natural relation to them. Animals are on the same level as ourselves (living beings),but human race seems to forget that.
@CornillieJunior Not trying to sound verbally combative, but how do you thank someone or something for dying? How do you communicate that thanks to them in a way that they know you're thanking them for being dead? If you personally feel the need to be spiritual with the animals then you're obviously more than welcome to do so. Now, treating animals humanely prior to slaughter is something I can completely agree with.
@04GLImattsahn Being thankful lies in your heart,it's not something to just think in your head or say in words. It lies deeper than common communication,it has to do with faith,it's like 'healing' in the thanks you give: it's for example having faith in this, that the only reason that they've lived their whole life was to feed us, & that's their offer we have to tank deeply within our hearts.
@04GLImattsahn It's a way of healing your own heart within the respect and the relationship that bind us al in the circle of life. people who are thankful in this way, wouldn't treat animals like that, like if they're only products to consume or to treat with chemical products or whatever, they would respect this beings in the way of life they need. Plus they wouldn't only use the meat, they would use everything of it, even the bones and the skin.
@CornillieJunior We can't be certain that there isn't more of the animal being used, especially in the video clip posted above. I'm sure there are skins sent out to be turned into leather for clothing among other things. But to say that every cow slaughtered is solely killed for the meat and everything else is always tossed into the garbage or compost is a pretty broad statement.
@04GLImattsahn Just to remember, I've written three little textes (plus a little sentence) in my previous answer, if you wouldn't have seen it! (maybe you've only read one of them). I think it's almost impossible that everything of those animals is used afterwards, but indeed, it's not something I can judge. :)
@04GLImattsahn They are as much living beings as we are, gifted with the gift of life and all with their own purpose. Every creature has it purpose, his deeper function, but we as 'technological human society' don't respect this anymore. Human race has to go back to that inner awareness of honour and respect for all living things, 'cause we're all boned within.
That music which isn't originally part of the actual film is so distracting and awful.
