Well, I can't say for sure but when the mayor was at the police station (Andy and Barney were in the back) an explosion was heard. The highway construction had been temporarily stopped. So...maybe :)
This episode brings back a memory of the time I bought 15 episodes of TAGS on a single VHS tape back in the early 1990s. I used to watch syndicated reruns of TAGS in the 1970s, but they removed it (among many other classic tv shows) from the free airwaves. As time went on through the 80s & early 90s, I was STARVED for classic tv shows. So one day I saw in a mail order catalog a videotape of 15 episodes of TAGS. I bought a copy and the very first episode on it was The Loaded Goat.
You got that right! I watched that videotape over & over & over again. Unfortunately I couldnt afford to always buy movies or tv shows on videotape, but when I did buy, you can be sure it was going to be something that I intended to watch many times over. God, it was wonderful to be able to see TAGS again after all those years. How much I loved the invention of the VCR because of times like that! Eventually I sold that tape on eBay. Thats ok since I can see TAGS on cable, youtube, & DVD anytime.
where did the intro come from? i really liek it :D

This is my favorite episode. I wish there is a Mayberry. I hate what I see these days where I live. The goat could use a shave.

It's intresting, Disney later revived the idea of a "Dynamite Eating Goat" for their Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coasters.
