Don't listen to government owned news. Listen to independent on youtube for infowars.
But the fukashima disaster. Is 100 times worse than chinobal. The site is pumping out allot of plutonium. A nuclear scientist was saying on infowars. That once plutonium is in the body. It almost guaranties cancer. As for America, its financial situation is in a mess because the dollar is a currency. Learn about "bullion" on youtube.
There is one thing that you missed out which was in the video. The moment that the director said that he doesn't know if the people of fukushima have a right to be safe, which of course shocked the hell out of everyone in the meeting.
The way they are treating it, is by keeping the core alive, they are trying to work with the problem for in case it happens again rather than just solving the problem like the Russians did with Chernobyl.
@juggy2006 I have been researching this incident for quite a while and it seems that the Fukushima government are doing very little to solve the issue, but instead are just learning from it, but at the expense of the citizens health. It has already been said that the government got the calculations wrong and that the radiation in the air is far worse than they had originally calculated.
Most people evacuated them selves, as the government won't help them evacuate.
I agree with much of what you say. To show my respect I've come up with a solution to "maybe radioactive" meat... Bring a geiger counter and bet about whether the meat makes it react beyond a certain point or not. The losers pays the meal or something. seems funny right?
I love listening to Japanese being spoken, even if I don't understand a lot....(okay anything)... anyhoo, watched and voted. Fingers crossed for you. ^^
Yes, the debt thing in the US is embarrassing. cause it is so obvious they are only trying to push through their own agenda and don't give a damn about the US economy or the world economy for that matter. Obama is not the one that lost face there, the senate and the house of representatives did.
Victor! A good topic for your next Japanese news clip would be the address (more like rebuke) that Dr. Tatsuhiko Kodama gave to the house of representatives on the 27th of July. If you search for dotsub and then "Dr. Tatsuhiko Kodama" on that site you can see a translated version. It seems to be available on youtube as well, if you can keep up without a translation.
@Gimmeaflakeman Actually, there's something I've been meaning to say. Since the whole mind reading thing is out of my control, do you think you could lay off the ... well, I don't want to be indelicate.
hey Victor, I just became a fan of your page recently bc I youtubed a search about life in japan and subscribed to your page. Any how, I agree with what you say about our US gov. However I didn't realize until now what else is going on over there where you guys are at. That is truly shameful in my opinion. WTF in deed, how are they going to hide that kind of info when the whole world practically knows of it..? Keep up the good work, your videos are quite entertaining. Peace out V
With regards to the J-gov being able to censor the internet; they would only have jurisdiction over data on servers which physically exist in Japan. So they may be able to have this video removed from YT's cache servers in Japan (if there are any), but it'd still be elsewhere in the aether, accessible to those in Japan and elsewhere. Now if they made *accessing* this "misinformation" a crime, that's when to *really* start worrying.
While I would agree that Japan has the right to create some sort of organization to counter the harmful lies that have been floating around for the last 5 months, its a slippery slope if one is not very careful. @Gimmeaflakeman Yep, this is one of the methods to calm down the nation. But people should know that besides the radionuclide fallout there is a bunch of other elements emitted from reactors. Thus the emanation effect isn't that noticeable at the moment as the other poisonous impacts, which cannot be detected with a geiger counter.
Funny thing, but the radiation level in Moscow is way higher than that in Chernobyl right now. Big cities are dirty in any way to speak of.

@SATURDAYateSUNDAY That's a quote from the movie V for vendetta and yeah "run" SHOULD be a better choice of words but given the circumstances I think fear is the reality we live in
I have quite a few Chinese friends in China and Osaka. The ones from Osaka had no idea why Facebook wasn`t available in China. I had to explain to them why...
あなたはばかです... Victor, I'd hoped you would leave your big mouth taped shut. I swear you talk only to hear yourself talk. If not for You Tube, you'd be nothing more than a gaikokujin blowhard and a dime a dozen. I hope your visa expires soon and you don't come back. 実際の仕事を得る!
LOL! I love comments like this. So ignorant. And so hypocritical. It's youtube! Express yourself. Some of us can do it on cam. Some of us leave comments. You're the ying to my yang. And I bet that truth IRKS you! LOL!
@Gimmeaflakeman I agree with your comeback :) But may I suggest that you do seem to ramble, and quit loudly in fact, it made me jump a bit! I'm trying best not to sound snotty when I say this; I just watch A LOT of Sxephil and the VlogBrothers and they've made videos about communicating with an audience though a camera. Love your content! Ganbatte!
@Gimmeaflakeman Nay Sir! You don't jump enough! You just ramble a lot, the prescribed medicine for that is more jump cuts, they make your content more interesting and hold the viewers attention IMHO.
@Gimmeaflakeman You hold yourself out as an "expert" on Japan yet you forget one of the essential principles of being an accepted part of Japanese society and culture... humility and modesty, neither of which you possess. You are loud, egotistical and abrasive, qualities that do not endear yourself to the Japanese. They mock you behind your back. The vast majority of the comments on your videos are posted by non-Japanese because we can't tolerate you.
@mydatsunb210 Ohhhh you mad bro?.. yea?.. :( someone said something that doesnt fit your beautiful ears?.. OH HECK NO someone have an opinion different from yours?
BUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHU lets rage and write an angry comment on youtube to express how angry we are! and lets use japanese words to sound smart and hip becouse using just one language is so maunstream right??
watched a lot about this yesterday actually. there is a physicist dr michio kaku that wants japan to just burry the reactors in sand and concrete but i dont see japan just burying all that money lol. america wouldnt bury all that money either. i feel sad for the japanese. watched a video showing children born after Chernobyl with their brains outside of their heads and all sorts of other horrible mutations. :(
Your question was to MOVE here. Not to work as an English teacher. If you are another kind of professional: entertainer, hostess, student, you can get here. If you want to to teach English you need a degree. If you get married you don't need anything.
Yes, but they have stated just for Japan to even accept you as an immigrant you need a degree to show you will be a worthy contributor to society, so to speak.
I haven't heard of any way to get there without a degree. Well, other than illegally I guess.
"They have stated just for Japan to even accept you as an immigrant you need a degree to show you will be a worthy contributor to society"
I never heard that. And you need to be MUCH more specific about your question. Google it. Do not trust anyone one person on the internet. I have a degree. I'm married and own a business and have been here for 25 years. There is no reason to believe anything I have to say about you moving to Japan is relevant to your particular situation.
@parrish001 They have the same policy as Australia, for you to be an immigrant you need to be able to provide something to the society from day 1. Basically a skilled tradesman, someone who has experience or expertise in an area or areas that would provide you with an income in their country.
As being able to earn money from day 1 means you will be paying money into the government from day 1, making you just as economically important as one of their own.
Interesting links, Victor. I follow a lot of this stuff, but it's kinda hard to respond in short YT comments. I'm considering an ELT position in China just to experience it firsthand. Do you know anyone who has done that (taught in China)?
The best description of the us government I have heard was given to me by one of my favorite teachers. "The democratic form of government is full of flaws, and far from perfect, but it is the best one we have have"
At some stores in Fukushima, you can buy geiger counters. Schools have also been issued them as well. Many, many elementary teachers have also been issued dosimeters which they carry around on their person..
Governments always use the guise of "protecting" the people to take away your rights. They're just trying to cover up the radiation levels, they must be exposed! In terms of America what the tea party is doing is awesome, people wanna live in fairytale land and continue to spend like mad while were over 14 trillion in debt. I support spending cuts however nobody brings up the idea of stopping the wars. The hypocrite liberals seem to have gone quiet on this issue since Obama came in.
Dude, stick the tape on piece of cloth (a clean one preferably), two or three times to make it less sticky, this way peeling it from your lips won't hurt that much....
SUDDENLY the debt ceiling matters, after Reagan-the-God broke the debt ceiling 17 times, GW Bush added 5 TRILLION for his wars of choice - - and NOW, yes NOW it's a big deal...but most important, even NOW: DO NOT RAISE ONE PENNY of tax on The Tasty, Tasty Rich. never mind that they once paid 90% on the dollar during the apex of 'American Greatness ' [1950 AD]...The Stupid Rich would rather manifest a Global Columbia than a just and equitable Denmark-style mixed economy...pah! May they hang!
In the immigration form for Japanese citizenship, it says that "have you ever tried to defame the Japanese Government?" or something or the other. Does this count?
I think what's going on in Washington is beautiful.
Tyranny is efficient. Dictators make fast decisions. Hitler, Mao, Stalin, and Castro could reach a budget decision in seconds.
In Washington, the people are standing up to the establishment -- you're seeing real democracy in action. Special interests are demanding a continuation of spending, and what John McCain calls "the hobbits of middle earth" have stuck a wrench in the machinery of business-as-usual Washington.
@drewnetwork I get the feeling you may have some facts confused, or atleast your definition of "special interests". Unless I am confused with what you were trying to say. I don't know, help me out with a little clarification on your standing with that situation.
@drewnetwork The world is under tyranny, and it desperately needs it as well. Do you think you can vote a couple time a year and the world will work its issues out? Humanity has been irresponsible, they gave away power long ago, and i'm glad, people are not ready to deal with REAL issues. The Elites are.
@ScoundrelzNTwK At least you're honest, buy you're not kidding anyone. Elites do not act in the interest of their populations, nor are they "ready to deal with real issues." It is the masses who are crying out for real transformation, but this is the last thing the well-connected want when the status quo is working out so well for them.
@Uwoiame Elites interests are not populations, why would you think that populations were their interests? Long term interests are actually a far to large human population, hence the lower birth rates and rising death and infant mortality rates.
When every person takes responsibility for the world into their daily lives that will be change, but that is not what is happening. What is happening is a very predictable cry due to economic woes, and nothing more.
@ScoundrelzNTwK I agree with you that we are overcrowded, but that's not what I meant when I said that elites don't have the population's best interests in mind. For instance, neither industry nor governments are making serious efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change or peak oil production. These things won't be solved by individuals "buying green" or recycling more. Elites are not interested in the structural change necessary to address these issues.
@Uwoiame You are assuming there is a large human impact on the climate, there isn't, global warming is a well known farce.
The solar maxima in 2013 will be the weakest in centuries, leading to a Maunder Minimum, decades without sun spots, kicking off a new ice age beginning in 2021-2022, the American Astronomical Society has reported this, the elites have known for decades, various documents prove that.
@Uwoiame There is simply to much to address with respect to climate change that can be handled by a YT comment. But the way it is sold to the public to pass legislation, and money spent on it are part of the farce I am referring to, not the science itself. But aspects of the science have been challenged, this is why there are many scientists trying to sue the US government. I apologize for the limited reply, but i think you understand what I am trying to explain.
@ScoundrelzNTwK Thanks for the pointer to the AAS report. I think you know that these studies don't contradict the research done by climate scientists, rather they add another layer of complexity to our biosphere. Note that I said climate change, and not global warming. Climate science is a system science, as opposed to what we might call test tube science, so it's concerned with statistical modelling and complexity. There is nothing farcical the massive amount of research done in this field
@Uwoiame I addressed global warming because that is what people usually think of, so I wanted to address that specifically, I know you were correct in terminology, and I didn't confuse it, rather specifically addressed an aspect of it. The farce I am referring to is basically Al Gore and his army against C02, a necessary chemical within the biosphere, as well as associated legislation Climate science, as a system science, for a long time ignored a large part of the equation, namely, the sun.
@ScoundrelzNTwK Climate science is a very young field, and with the number of variables and feedback loops to consider, it's predictable that there will be huge holes in our understanding. The sun is a rather large part of the equation to miss, of course, but i'm not certain that climate science has been ignoring it. I'm curious how much legislation you think there is that honestly tries to limit emissions. (don't say ethanol subsidies)
I agree, this isn't the ideal forum for this discussion.
@Uwoiame As far as legislation, I am not up on what the US has been passing, since I am Canadian. In canada at least, it is being taken beyond serious, and this is a country with 30 mil people and a population density 3rd lowest in the whole world. The field is restricting all but those at the top that can afford carbon credits, limiting industrial output at a time when industrial output should be ramped up. Of course there are many reasons for this with respect to geo politics.
@ScoundrelzNTwK Well, if the topic is cap and trade legislation, I would agree that it is a rackets. It typically amounts to a permit to pollute for the largest industries, while simultaneously allowing them to profit from credits they were awarded as a part of the law.
@Uwoiame Imo, the largest racket with respect to carbon would be the impact on agriculture, which is quickly becoming a monopoly in the US as well as Canada, 2 of the largest grain producers in the world. Look for continuous rise in food costs despite what oil is doing up to between 2020-2025, the predicted date of US collapse.
Carbon taxes will also facilitate more industry outsourcing to china, but also prevent the rise of the 3rd world, which will experience more famine in the coming years.
@ScoundrelzNTwK The dominance of big agrobusiness is nothing new, but it is true that there are very few players left. As for famine, the rise in food costs is a combination of bad harvests (The Russian drought was so bad they banned wheat exports) and the increase in the price of oil.
World food prices would not climb as high if countries prioritized local production over importing food. something they do not do because it conflicts with US policy and economic ideology.
@Uwoiame Bad harvests, and lower agricultural output has been predicted, a combination of climate and over used soil. Privatization of natural resources in particular, fresh water, will be a large source of profit in the coming decades.
Prioritization of food production won't happen, unfortunately, as it conflicts with the long term goals of the power elite, and is an effective control lever. I believe the US has been passing laws with regard to home grown food production and storage.
Victor, I could not believe those guys who simply walked out of the press conference when the questions got too hard to handle. They should be replaced by some people who might at least try to do something. Evacuations are a costly exercise, but to say that evacuation is up to individuals in a situation like Fukushima is probably a crime under International Human Rights Law - I would not be surprised if they could actually be prosecuted as individuals for that little display.
Right, all governments have similar laws, or executive orders that allow them these sorts of powers, it certainly isn't just Japan.
The Chinese government is their issue, and the chinese people will handle it, injecting a western opinion about a situation when little information is available, is potentially dangerous.
"Injecting a western opinion about a situation when little information is available, is potentially dangerous."
How so? That's like saying nobody can have an opinion about anything that has nothing to do with them directly. I say NOT giving opinions is potentially dangerous. And anyway, I'm just commenting on media that is commenting on the situation over there.
@Gimmeaflakeman No, all i meant is that it is better to hold off on opinions about the matter until more information is available, preferably multiple sources as chinese media is heavily censored and western media is sensationalized.
Thanks for spreading that out there... sweet!!! we gotta get the word out there..

Your question was to MOVE here. Not to work as an English teacher. If you are another kind of professional: entertainer, hostess, student, you can get here. If you want to to teach English you need a degree. If you get married you don't need anything.
Gimmeaflakeman 6 months ago
@Gimmeaflakeman

Gimmeaflakeman 6 months ago
@parrish001 They have the same policy as Australia, for you to be an immigrant you need to be able to provide something to the society from day 1. Basically a skilled tradesman, someone who has experience or expertise in an area or areas that would provide you with an income in their country.
As being able to earn money from day 1 means you will be paying money into the government from day 1, making you just as economically important as one of their own.

It's beautiful.

@drewnetwork I get the feeling you may have some facts confused, or atleast your definition of "special interests". Unless I am confused with what you were trying to say. I don't know, help me out with a little clarification on your standing with that situation.
blck15yrold 7 months ago
@drewnetwork The world is under tyranny, and it desperately needs it as well. Do you think you can vote a couple time a year and the world will work its issues out? Humanity has been irresponsible, they gave away power long ago, and i'm glad, people are not ready to deal with REAL issues. The Elites are.
ScoundrelzNTwK 7 months ago
@ScoundrelzNTwK At least you're honest, buy you're not kidding anyone. Elites do not act in the interest of their populations, nor are they "ready to deal with real issues." It is the masses who are crying out for real transformation, but this is the last thing the well-connected want when the status quo is working out so well for them.
Uwoiame 7 months ago
@Uwoiame
Thanks for the comment, but..."At least you're honest, buy you're not kidding anyone." implies I'm both honest and trying to fool you... huh?
Gimmeaflakeman 7 months ago
@Gimmeaflakeman heh actually that comment was directed at ScoundrelzNTwK, who left a comment that I disagreed with.
Uwoiame 7 months ago
@Uwoiame Elites interests are not populations, why would you think that populations were their interests? Long term interests are actually a far to large human population, hence the lower birth rates and rising death and infant mortality rates.
When every person takes responsibility for the world into their daily lives that will be change, but that is not what is happening. What is happening is a very predictable cry due to economic woes, and nothing more.
ScoundrelzNTwK 7 months ago
@ScoundrelzNTwK I agree with you that we are overcrowded, but that's not what I meant when I said that elites don't have the population's best interests in mind. For instance, neither industry nor governments are making serious efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change or peak oil production. These things won't be solved by individuals "buying green" or recycling more. Elites are not interested in the structural change necessary to address these issues.
Uwoiame 7 months ago
@Uwoiame You are assuming there is a large human impact on the climate, there isn't, global warming is a well known farce.
The solar maxima in 2013 will be the weakest in centuries, leading to a Maunder Minimum, decades without sun spots, kicking off a new ice age beginning in 2021-2022, the American Astronomical Society has reported this, the elites have known for decades, various documents prove that.
ScoundrelzNTwK 7 months ago
@ScoundrelzNTwK If that is the case, then I must say I am beyond my depth here.
Uwoiame 7 months ago
@Uwoiame There is simply to much to address with respect to climate change that can be handled by a YT comment. But the way it is sold to the public to pass legislation, and money spent on it are part of the farce I am referring to, not the science itself. But aspects of the science have been challenged, this is why there are many scientists trying to sue the US government. I apologize for the limited reply, but i think you understand what I am trying to explain.
ScoundrelzNTwK 7 months ago
@ScoundrelzNTwK Thanks for the pointer to the AAS report. I think you know that these studies don't contradict the research done by climate scientists, rather they add another layer of complexity to our biosphere. Note that I said climate change, and not global warming. Climate science is a system science, as opposed to what we might call test tube science, so it's concerned with statistical modelling and complexity. There is nothing farcical the massive amount of research done in this field
Uwoiame 7 months ago
@Uwoiame I addressed global warming because that is what people usually think of, so I wanted to address that specifically, I know you were correct in terminology, and I didn't confuse it, rather specifically addressed an aspect of it. The farce I am referring to is basically Al Gore and his army against C02, a necessary chemical within the biosphere, as well as associated legislation Climate science, as a system science, for a long time ignored a large part of the equation, namely, the sun.
ScoundrelzNTwK 7 months ago
@ScoundrelzNTwK Climate science is a very young field, and with the number of variables and feedback loops to consider, it's predictable that there will be huge holes in our understanding. The sun is a rather large part of the equation to miss, of course, but i'm not certain that climate science has been ignoring it. I'm curious how much legislation you think there is that honestly tries to limit emissions. (don't say ethanol subsidies)
I agree, this isn't the ideal forum for this discussion.
Uwoiame 7 months ago
@Uwoiame As far as legislation, I am not up on what the US has been passing, since I am Canadian. In canada at least, it is being taken beyond serious, and this is a country with 30 mil people and a population density 3rd lowest in the whole world. The field is restricting all but those at the top that can afford carbon credits, limiting industrial output at a time when industrial output should be ramped up. Of course there are many reasons for this with respect to geo politics.
ScoundrelzNTwK 7 months ago
@ScoundrelzNTwK Well, if the topic is cap and trade legislation, I would agree that it is a rackets. It typically amounts to a permit to pollute for the largest industries, while simultaneously allowing them to profit from credits they were awarded as a part of the law.
Uwoiame 7 months ago
@Uwoiame Imo, the largest racket with respect to carbon would be the impact on agriculture, which is quickly becoming a monopoly in the US as well as Canada, 2 of the largest grain producers in the world. Look for continuous rise in food costs despite what oil is doing up to between 2020-2025, the predicted date of US collapse.
Carbon taxes will also facilitate more industry outsourcing to china, but also prevent the rise of the 3rd world, which will experience more famine in the coming years.
ScoundrelzNTwK 7 months ago
@ScoundrelzNTwK The dominance of big agrobusiness is nothing new, but it is true that there are very few players left. As for famine, the rise in food costs is a combination of bad harvests (The Russian drought was so bad they banned wheat exports) and the increase in the price of oil.
World food prices would not climb as high if countries prioritized local production over importing food. something they do not do because it conflicts with US policy and economic ideology.
Uwoiame 7 months ago
@Uwoiame Bad harvests, and lower agricultural output has been predicted, a combination of climate and over used soil. Privatization of natural resources in particular, fresh water, will be a large source of profit in the coming decades.
Prioritization of food production won't happen, unfortunately, as it conflicts with the long term goals of the power elite, and is an effective control lever. I believe the US has been passing laws with regard to home grown food production and storage.

Right, all governments have similar laws, or executive orders that allow them these sorts of powers, it certainly isn't just Japan.
The Chinese government is their issue, and the chinese people will handle it, injecting a western opinion about a situation when little information is available, is potentially dangerous.
ScoundrelzNTwK 7 months ago
@ScoundrelzNTwK
Gimmeaflakeman 7 months ago
@Gimmeaflakeman No, all i meant is that it is better to hold off on opinions about the matter until more information is available, preferably multiple sources as chinese media is heavily censored and western media is sensationalized.
