Aw, thanks so much for posting this whole story. I didn't start watching this show until probably late 80s, was too young to see this when it aired. But I loved the Quartermaines, love seeing Scotty and Lee Baldwin again, love getting to know Heather and Susan (crazy, crazy ladies but highly entertaining) . . . damn, this show used to be so fun! What a shame it's such crap now . . .

I remember as far back as the late 70's she was walking without a cane. when was Anna's exact last episode. she died in 2004 but I heard she retired in 2003. She's been in lots of old HOllywood movies too.

She didn't retire. The idiots in charge fired her. She was heartbroken when they did that to her (at her advanced age). She died soon after she was fired from the show.

When I come here to read the comments a lot of history is discussed. These vintage videos are better than the show now! No, this cottage isn't actually on Quartermaine property. It's nearby where Alan could watch through a telescope (That's actually kind of creepy if you ask me.)

@czcapitol that was a magical time. the pairing of Robert/Holly was one of a kind. They were one of soaps few most happily married couples...she and Luke never made sense. You can't love someone you just met. Robert and Holly took time and developed and it was tender and sexual and tingly all in one...not to mention these two are still married today! Long story. But ask me sometime and I'll explain myself.

David Lewis was the original Edward from 1978-1993. There were brief periods in that stretch where he was ill and the part was recast for a few days...and of course, there was the time Edward was "lost" in the Bermuda Triangle and all you heard was Edward's ghost talking to Lila.

I vaguely remember bits and pieces of this. it's so weird to see this stuff (the old phones and huge answering machines, the wierd organ music between scenes...like the parody's they used on the Carol Burnett show) how did you manage to save all these for all these years? i'm so glad to get the chance to see all of this great history instead of just hearing about it!

David Lewis was the BEST Edward Q ... bar none! It's hard to recast someone and have it really be accepted by the fans ... but some good exceptions are Monica Q and Rick Webber ...

AJ is older than Jason. Alan had an affair with Susan which produced Jason. When Alan dumped Susan to go back to Monica, Susan sued Alan and the result was a $1 million trust fund for Jason and a measly amount for Susan herself. In some other clips I've uploaded, Monica won't allow Jason into the house. This changes later in the year when she bonds with Jason (much later in the year.)

Who's Alan's brother? Jimmy Lee Holt? And I think that it's cool that Gail Ramsey still keeps in touch with her GH fans. I wonder if she regrets leaving the show and asking the writers to kill her so that she couldn't be brought back. Her death still made for a great story and really showed what calibre of actor she is.

I was there but too damn young to remember. couldn't have been too long before I started watching. He was a hot hunk of a man though.
