  • The actor who plays little Lucius is so adorable! I want a son like that! His eyes are so gorgeous. Niobe too is simply beautiful. Where do they find such good-looking actors who can also actually act??

  • @NewDawnFades608 Britain and Italy.

  • XD :(

  • I don't wonder if Vorenus would have killed his wife Niobe because I know for certain he would not have. I think he would have gone so far as to put the knife to her neck and then he would have come to his senses, and walked away in anger and dispair. I don't think it was fair for the children to have such hatred towards him when they never fully understood how she died. He rescued them from the slave camp and did not kill or abandon the illegitimate child, their half brother.

  • Niobe was very hot.

  • I hate the way she falls out the window and yu can see her feet fly up it jus looks silly

  • I dont think he would have killed her. he has a heart in there somewhere but i dont think that he would see her the same way!

  • there was great hate in vorenius eyes, he felt betrayed but he was a man of honor so one would think he would end her life but the one thing that is above honor is love, i dont think he would ever kill her.

  • I'd like to point out that Niobe is a woman is that period. she knows that honor demands a man should kill his wife in that situation. so it's more than just hurting him and all. he has a special reason to kill her, beyond anger. I believe out of honor, he would've killed her. that's the kind of man he is. he would hate himself for it, though.

  • @shiroisan87 You're right. I think the writers even said that Niobe killed herself to spare Lucius from having to kill her.

  • . . . poor Niobe. I can understand her guilt and her reasons for ending her own life. I can understand Vorenus' rage as well. Love gone wrong is frightening.

  • yes, heartbreaking. BTW, its not high enough to kill oneself...she risked a serious and permanent injury

  • @urmo345 It's totally high enough if you're falling headfirst onto brick.

  • @MaxximumMATT well , you are right, there is a certain chance that one will die instead getting permanently...well...physically challenged.

  • @urmo345 LOLL

  • I think Niobe did the ultimate sacrifice for her son. She figured by killing herself, she's freeing Vorenus from the torture of having to kill her and the boy. Her death saved the child. Finally seeing Niobe dead, made Vorenus realize he would have rather see her live and sparing the boy was his final gesture of love, guilt, regret and forgiving.

  • Lol. They don't keep killing Suzie, Suzie keeps dying by suicide.

  • I'm still very angry that HBO canceled this FANTASTIC show. How come they have very high quality shows on cable than networks????

  • @amazingdany - I totally agree. Maybe someday a movie will come out.

  • omg his acting is out of this world! so gifted.

  • i think he would probably have killed her (If we go with the logical way by analysing his character, of course the rules of Drama would make him change his mind), he was very angry and said to Pullo later 'I was going to kill her, I had the knife in my hand'. He let his son live because of Niobe and because killing the son would make his daughters hate him forever, plus he was cooled down, unlike in this scene he's completely angry

  • every thing was finally going verenus's way. he became a senator! then that happend.

  • She saved him from having to make the decision by killing herself. She did the honorable thing.

  • Niobe breaks his heart twice; when she is unfaithful and when she kills herself

  • i hate this, its all his fault for over reacting, i think he would have killed her even though he showed alot of remorse when she died..

  • he would not kill her..he never wanted to kill her he wanted to kill the boy...this is why she said the boy is blameless..so that he wouldn't touch him...and then she felt so horrible inside her that she killed herself..poor Naomi...i was so sad when i saw that i loved this couple they seemed so humane so good infront of all the other manipulating caracters of rome...and yeah the knife looks too much modern for the roman empire

  • whos niobe?

  • Under Roman laws he would have been obliged to kill her and her child for what she did, but i dont think he would have done it

  • He would not kill her,,,,he loved her so much.....

  • @Maratrushka

    exactly.

  • did she cheat on him?

  • This is really a terrible spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen this show yet. Oh well.

  • the knife is very modern looking ;)

  • I cried by the end of the episode; Caesar is dead, Niobe is dead, Atia was (metaphorically) bitch-slapped.

  • Yes, Ceasar and Niobe are dead both by Vorenus fault... Also Pompey's death is his fault... Poor man :(

  • I will always wonder whether Vorenus would have actually killed her I know its what honer would dictate for the time and I know above all else he always did the honerable thing. However something tells me he might of let her live he seemed so regretful after her death, and he did let the child live.

  • I don't think he would have. I think he would have sent her into exile or something and then had a chance to miss her and bring her back. Poor Niobe.

  • He was not planning on killing Niobe. He wanted to kill the boy. That's why Niobe says: 'The boy is blameless.'

  • @Ashleypalmer1991 I do not think he would have. He would have probably beat her, but I don't think he would have killed her on purpose anyway.

  • @Ashleypalmer1991 Vorenus would kill a man, I think he follows that no women no children code

  • I love (d) this show. This scene made me so sad!

  • Heart breaking.. Often wonder if Vorenus would have killed her. Great acting

  • no he would have done her one more time than kill her

  • @Whahli HAHAHAHAHA TRUE!

  • @192939sh No not Vorenus. He was 'brutalised' by his 8 years but he retained his humanity. Ironically by virtue of his obsession with 'due process'. It shielded him from the horror and madness. Pullo on the other hand was a lost soul. I think thats what bound them together in the end.

  • THANK YOU!!!
