  • It is strange that for instance a crisis like the one in Syria get's more attention while the amount of casualty's are 1000x as small as the amount in this Congo war. It is the bloodiest war since WWII....

  • Democratic Republic of Congo possess about 80% of the world existing coltan reserves. Coltan, diamonds, gold, cobalt...AngloGold Ashanti, Barrick Gold Corporation, DeBeers, etc....the fight between the niggers for the control of mineral wealth in the DRC...million deaths...

This is the most spectacular war after the WWII.

  • albusayz : Who is the author of this music?

  • I just realized this video only has 9,000 views while the Haitian "We are the word 25" has about 8,000,000. It's just sad that people aren't paying attention to this tragedy that is still happening as we speak.

  • @KDALove thank u so much for understanding ! i hadn't said anything because i didnt want to come across as inconsiderate to the tragedy in Haiti, i really do care and i donated and want to help ...but its not the only crisis in the world, and most defenetly not the one with most deaths but i guess that just shows how uninformed about issues people can be kuz unless its close to home, they have no idea

  • Central Africa is in ruins, I read with sadness the madness Hutu-Tutsi killings and the millions dead in Congo. And these stories are rarely heard in the world media. Everything is about protecting Israel and the Jewish bankers, fuck both of them

  • World War 2 was a heroic war, in some ways. The same cannot be said for the 2nd congo war.

  • This war was worst then the African theater of World War II. Rape as a weapon, disease, genocide, all wars are the same and there is no such thing as heros in war.

  • There are heros in war. If you say that stopping the Holocaust was not heroic, then I don't know what is. Remember, war itself may not be a good thing, but the reasons it is fought can be.

But we are getting off point. We really agree in the big picture.

  • Stopping the Holocaust? what was there to stop when the damage has already been done? over 6 milion Jews, Communist, Disabled, Homosexuals, Jehovah's Wintnesses dead before the Soviets and British got to them. The real hero's are the ones who have died on the battlefield, you don't understand war kid.

  • More would have died if we just sat there.

In addition, are you saying that we should have let Hitler continue his conquests unhindered? Are you saying that we should have left his dictatorship intact?

Finally, do not descend into personal insults.

  • Unfortunately for humanity, a lesser evil is frequently needed to extinguish a far greater one. Such was the case of World War 2. We hate to imagine what would have happened if Hitler continued his plans.

Again, war itself many not be a good thing, but its reasons CAN be. They are not always are, but they can.

  • By the way, this song is very good, it fits the video pretty well. But is it possible to provide a translation (in English, or possibly French?..) for the commentaries? I don't understand this language, but it seems that a lot of valuable info is given there?

  • evilbu- cont... I know news outlets can't really cover every big story at once and we live in a fast moving world. Already the Somali Piracy Crisis is starting to overshadow the DRC. Its important that the DRC is covered now more than it was before but like Burma, Pakistan, Kenya, Tibet, Zimbabwe, Georgia the DRC crisis will be ongoing but no longer a lead item. Unfortunately thats how mass media has to work.

  • what this song ???? anyone

  • Death in vegas - Dirge 2

  • There is a lot of attention on Darfur right now, but as a conflict its much smaller than the Second Congo War- im not trivialising it, because its still hellish but it seems morally wrong that the Second Congo War is ignored.

  • Indeed, but there isn't that much info on that war. The Gulf Wars, the war in Chechnya, Yugoslavia, all of them have gotten way more attention. Is there any (recommandable) literature on the situation in (eastern) Congo?

  • evilbu- Your'e right. I regularly go to Waterstones (the book store) which usually has a fairly concise collection but ive never found anything on the DRC and African conflicts generally. It could be because with other conflicts major players are involved. The DRC has a large UN force but they're not really engaged in major fighting, so the blunt truth is it is just seen as yet another terrible African War. I buy newspapers regularly and there has been more coverage in them than usual cont;

  • albusayz- well done for uploading this- there should be many more videos on the Second Congo War- its the deadliest conflict since WW2

  • Yea they do i was a child soldier there(even though i was whitei knew how to fight alot better then some others) i thought it would be great to go to america too but when unicef made it happen it wasn't all i thought it was =( but yea there should be more on it I want others to know it too man

  • Hariuka- thanks for replying and sharing your experience. And its true, there is no utopian country on earth.

  • yea alot of were lied on America and that got me mad but the only good part is I'm strong enough to handle all the kids in my school so YAY me lol
