@xDecKeR96 Nah, I love rpg games. What made it so hard for me to play FFVI were the frequent random battles. I loved Chrono Trigger and my first rpg game Golden Sun and ive played some others.

But after playing chrono trigger, i have a hard time dealing with boring random battles especially FFVIs random battles. They're so frequent. Im always trying to keep track of how many steps I have left.

I do plan to finish the game at some point though.

Also, maybe it was just me, but I remember having random battles as hell in Golden Sun xD

@xDecKeR96 yeah, even me but it was my first rpg. i was 12 and didn't bother me much back then. Now I'm 17 and I don't seem to have the patience to play games anymore. I tried replaying Golden Sun: TLA and gave up half way through.

I thought random battles were abolished and that newer rpgs don't have them anymore but I don't get to play games that much anyway since my parents think games are for kids only. Most of the rpgs I've played have been on emulator.

@xDecKeR96 I only played tales of symphonia, really liked the atmosphere of the game and it had an added puzzle element to their dungeons (just like golden sun has) the story was a bit cliche but good characters helped it a lot!

and of course there''s earthbound. traditional menu''s and monsters running towards you on screen. It is a bit weird but has a certain charm. Since i'' m no fanboy i must admit earthbound didn''t grab me as much as it''s sequel, mother 3 did try that maybe?

I thought Kefka and Sephiroth were both great villains. Kefka was insane and his laugh was memorable. Sephiroth on the other hand was pure evil and his sword was badass. I'll always remember Golbez though, as FFIV was my first FF.

That version sucked, when compared to the other versions out there. I'm sorry, but for smoother gameplay, get the Anthology version for PSX, or get FFIII for the SNES, but don't settle for FFVI Advance.
