Cannot find Plot info anywhere, and have not been able to locate the DVD for Belle Maman. I know this is dumb, but why does Catherine Deneuve remove her shoe in the church ? I can't tell what the plot is so I do not know if she is upset about her daughter getting married to the guy she is interested in, or is she just tired from walking, etc.? Thank you in advance. I have spent WAY too much time searching the web and stores for this film. Great video !

I live in the US and I have many of her films....I have gotten them at TOWER, which is no longer (at least in my town in Connecticut--but I believe they all closed) I got a boxed set at Barnes and Noble...I have around 12 to 13 of her films....I hope this helps...if not the internet...good luck!

Saw this vid a few months ago and I've just become CD's biggest fan. We don't have French films here in the Phil. but I was able to DL My favorite season and Belle Maman and I can't stop thinking about CD or anything that has to do with French. I even started to learn French thru Audio CDs and podcasts and I'm planning to take up French classes. My biggest dream right now is to work in France. I'm a nurse BTW.

somebody posted that u can DL thru ARES(a file sharing software-easy to find)and yes I was able to DL Belle Maman and My Favorite Saison but 'twas painstaking and slow but I was apparently desperate.

Catherine Deneuve is just so beautiful it almost brings a tear to my eye lol!

No really she is absolutely gorgeous and so classy there is just no one else like her.

I only wish I spoke French so I could buy this movie and actually understand what they're saying. Oh well I might just buy it anyway, Catherine is so gorgeous that it doesn't matter what language she is speaking!

This is an absolutely fantastic film. Just purchased it myself from France - I can't understand a word of it but Deneuve has a way of telling you exactly what she means with those eyes of hers. I'd recommend this one any day. GREAT MOVIE, Opera! :)

I am on a quest to own every Catherine Deneuve film...her work is amazing. I wish she did more work in America, but I understand and respect her decision not to buy into Hollywood. She's a true living treasure & legend. Total class, intelligence, talent, and beauty.
