I bought one of these, it's awful. The slightest breeze causes it to go completely out of control, it's nigh impossible to control even without any wind and one of the screws on the rotors was broken so I couldn't tighten it meaning that the rotor blade in question goes out of allignment if you crash or even move it at high speed, which ends up in a crash anyway. The camera is pretty low quality as well and the controller literally starts falling apart the minute you open the box.

1st day, played with the first battery charge close to ground to get hang of it. 2nd battery charge, started going higher. Got to chest height, ~5 ft and let off throttle too much, it descended quickly as I tried to throttle back up, the descent lessened at about a foot off of kitchen floor. When it landed (on the skids) the metal bar on top went flying. Small piece of plastic holding it on shaft snapped. :( Hope I can repair it, it was cool while it lasted. Yes, I am an RC noob.

Neat product, but try to get parts. Think Geek says they will carry parts, but do not know when. No identification as to who makes the copter, so no source for parts.

Poor way to do business, sell a copter with no available parts. At least tell me who makes this copter, so I can find a source for parts!!!

it would be great for independent/low budget film makers to get high angle shots if it was more stable at hovering,heavier to be less effected by wind,and with wireless video to aim the shots

@xerox2k4 I was thinking that too. Actually, it is very stable, its just the wind. And for wireless video, I was thinking of hooking up one of these micro 2.4ghz cameras to it.

For the price its great. Same thing as that AR.Drone, (Same Resolution), And for 110 dollars you can have streaming video AND Recording video. (You can't record it on the AR.Drone.)
