Certainly, you will do a lot better, if you are totally ignorant of something and unable to understand it, to follow mainstream science.
Have a look at the world around you. Without science the world would be a very different place. We wouldn't have these computers to start with. We'd be living much harsher lives and our deaths would generally come much sooner, and without medical succour.
@cwar068 for sure, i agree, but i was just referring to how hard it is for a radical new idea to be adopted by the mainstream - in history we hear of people being labelled 'heretics' for saying that the world is not flat, etc etc
I assume that you believe in educating people though, yes?
I assume you think that science should be taught and there should be no concern if it contradicts religion?
It is worrying when peoples' religious beliefs contradict well established facts about the world around us.
A lot of harm is caused by religious belief and not just to the victims of violence and discrimination but also to the lives of those who are religious.
I respect yours and others point of viev so I agree completly what you just sed. And I incorage you to speek freely . We should all defend the others right to speek withouth judging them. Peace and love to all.
,,I felt empty inside and I was doing my thing fucking, eating, drinking, but I felt no satisfaction, then one day I met nice people of peace(my friends) or was it this muslim chicky and she didn't my kuffar ass. Sow they gave me a quran and I started reading because they wanted it en suddenly I wanted it and they I had that FEELING that was allah or a orgasm. And now converted I want other poor lost sinners experience my illussion, cause my hell is great!
Even if you are right, please explain how this is related to mountains, and reference material supporting the earth being 100% submerged, and also that mountains existed at that time
Jaja doesn't believe that the event in question was global
I'm sure there are other topics that Jaja and I would agree a lot more on :)
"earth being 100% submerged" You have to go out of your way to say Qur'an says Earth was submerged 100%. Lets just say for the argument that Qur'aan does say that Earth was covered 100% how do you know it means that literally entire earth for submerged or it was submerged enough that life (humans) weren't able to survive.
lol...scientifically speaking I am not 100% sure either but there are organisms that live in deep beneath the surface of water and get their food through chemosynthesis. This flood thing aside I want to ask you a question, do you believe that science invalidates Islam and/or religion and concept of God?
Can you provide me with explicit evidence where The Prophet (PBUH) claimed to be a man of science and also provide me with evidence that shows that pre-Islamic Arabia was a place that was yearning for scientific knowledge. Lastly, since you state that science invalidates Islam/religions and God so do you believe science should be the way for us to validate things we do and views that we hold on this world?
The assumption in Islam is that belief in God is natural, and the evidence for it, and this is repeated many times in the Quran, is the natural order around us.
Muhammad was wrong about many things about this natural order and had the world view of someone living 1600 years ago.
Muhammad claimed to be speaking for an all knowing God, and it was claimed that Islam informed mankind about everything we need to be guided.
I'm not interested in debating over differing interpretations of Islam.
Yes the assumption in God is natural. From Islamic theology we believe everyone believes in one ultimate truth, even atheist. The Prophet (PBUH) taught people about believing in one mighty God and not to associate any partners with the God. How does science falsifies any of this? The flooding of Noah you mentioned is a first and far most a moral dialogue. It has practically no significance to science for us Muslims. I am not debating you about an interpretation of Islam this is the majorityview
I think that a basic knowledge of science and the scientific method can help someone better judge the probability of something being true.
I think that being able to do this is, and being able to improve technologies through the scientific method, is necessary for us homo sapiens to improve our welfare and that of the rest of our species.
It basically means that you have a better chance of something working in the way you intend if you actually understand it.
so, to be scientific, we have to reference something that is 'approved' by other scientists! this is a closed system - prone to failure.

I wish everybody well, but it's not like I dont care what happens to people and just say "Everione is free to belive what he or she want"
I also wouldnt want to impose any belief on anyone. But I am willing to take the time to talk about science with regards to religion.

Are you agreeing with me because you agree with me?
Or are you agreeing with me because you agree with everyone who says something?
Maybe I'm just misunderstanding you :)

Islam is obviously false or the various factions of Islam would not be killing each other everyday. They respect power... not a God.
On the other hand the same might be said of Christianity with Protestants murdering poor Catholics in Ireland.... that group must be false also...

Yes, it does.
There is now way that what Muhammad taught is true. We didn't know that then, but we do now. The world is not remotely like he viewed it.

lol Well clearly you don't take the religion literally, that's great!!
Science can't falsify God just as it can't falsify Santa :)
I'm a Santa "Atheist" too by the way :)
However, if you are a radical and take what Islam said literally and make falsifiable claims, these claims can be shown to be wrong
