This is one of the best movies Ive seen in a while. Meryl Streep didnt just play Julia Child, she became Julia Child. She is absolutely amazing. Amy Adams was great as Julie. And the husbands played great roles also. Stanley Tucci was excellent as Paul & I'd like to take Chris Messina home with me.

I saw this movie and then I checked out Julie Powell's blog. The movie played her as sweet and charming but her blog about cooking her way through the cookbook sounded like it was written by a sailor. She has a foul mouth on her and wasn't always kind about Julia's recipes. Guess the movie wouldn't be popular if they played her true to form. LOVED the movie - HATED her blog.

there are a couple scenes that imply sex (pretty obviously in 1), but it IS with a married couple every time. all 4 main characters (julie and her husband, and julia and her husband) are all completely faithful to their spouses, if you're worried.

i watched it with my girlfriend last month or so, and i was kinda uncomfortable in a couple spots. don't take children unless you watch it first.
