I've never played the NES verison, but I tried the Game Gear version and it was horrible. I'll do a playthrough of it on my future "4 O'Clock Game" playthroughs. It's a Disney/Marvel game or shall I say "Mickey Mouse Marvel", and Donald Duck developed this piece of garbage.
LJN made this shit load of fuck! I did play Amazing Spiderman 2 when I was a kid and I did like the game but now I know it was abysmal and saw my errors of my ways! I think AVGN says it well about LJN's logo rainbow of death.
Blue: For shitty game play and broken fucking controls
Green: Shitty qaulity of sound and graphics
Yellow: Digging up the turd
Orange: Getting screwed for buying a shitty game for $50

I'm playing this game right now. I kinda like it for strange reasons but yes the controls are horrible and the web is useless.
The game is really short too. Therefore they probably only give you no lifes and 1 continue.
