The G35's were all tuned differently. I got mine and I lucked out. It was last Generation G35 and it was tuned out of the factory - it came close to 300 hp. i finally made the switch from my z to the g. best decision ever. Z interior doesn't last for over 4 years; its crap compared to the g35 luxury interior. I can feel the difference in weight where the Z is much lighter but shifting gears in the G is much smoother less rough compared to the Z. Camshaft sensor goes out around 80k miles in the vq35 engine on my Z!!!! 400 bucks to replace, twice! fucking bullshit, a month out of my warranty. That in mind, g 35 06+ have a different engine.

If thats the case then the real skyline for the states should be the 350z the Infinity G35 is just a luxuary version of the the skyline 350 gt. There was a year when the G35 came out that had the skyline emblem on the back but its was just so people would buy it and think its the next skyline.
@ki11erscorpio No G35 ever had a skyline emblem at the back in the US/CAN from factory unless the previous owner re-badged it. In Japan and other countries that import the car it is called the v35 skyline 250gt 300gt and 350gt/8 both in sedan and coupe form. On a side note, i also have an 07 G35S sedan with the HR which is now the V36 skyline.

No I don't bet. I know it does. I recently drove a 04 gt then a base 04 350z. The stang had sluggish steering an not even that amazing acceleratiion. It was still cool and all, nothing against mustangs, but I was literally shaking in excitement after driving the z. Even with an auto tranny and traction control on. Simply put, it's perfect

i wanna know years. 03-05 350z had the engine that produced around 280. then in 06 they got the supposed 300 and but the g35 got that engine in 05. but the 07 to 08 350z unbeatable with the 306hp with the new sae reading VQ35HR that the g35 only came with in the sedan journeys. i think the 05 and up g35 should be about even with a 03-05 350z.

That was purely a drivers race. G35 clipped the win but if you had the drivers swap cars, the Z would have won hands down. The G35 is a heavier car due to the extended wheel base for the rear seats and luxurious amenities.

but the 350z is suposed to be faster since its lighter, but the g35 has better torque ratio or something.

i have a g35... it's an awesome car. but, for your info, skyline (g35) and the fairladyZ (350z) both have the same engines. they're both nissans and i like em both!

It doesn't even have a Skyline number handle. You have the R34 and the new GT-R is considered the R35. Where in this picture is the 350GT?

Kaotix your a dumb fuck!THe Z has the same motor with more power and lighter weight so how can a G with equal driver beat a Z? G's look hot but performance wise, the G is a step back cuz its the luxury version of the Z. I test drove a G before i got my Z and unlike wat many say, they feel totally different. The G feels like a boat compared to the Z.If the G didn't feel like my friends toyota Avalon i woulda bought it. But i wanted a true sports car and got me a Z!

I hear you...but the G35/V35 (Skyline) isn't exactly an Avalon, not even comparatively speaking..well, they both have 4 wheels I guess!
They suit different styles, and I bet the Z suits you more than the "Skyline"; for me, it's the other way around...both great cars though...very good cars!
(oh, and 'Joe Public', spare us the horse-shit G35/V35 badge argument...it's just that!..a badge!)

ahh, ur all wrong they both tied. i couldnt really read the times (mid 14s estimate) but both screens lit up at the same time at the end. Both cars have almost the exact same engine and weigh relatively the same so thers not gonna be a difference between the two cars performance

That was purely a drivers race. G35 clipped the win but if you had the drivers swap cars, the Z would have won hands down. The G35 is a heavier car due to the extended wheel base for the rear seats and luxurious amenities.
