  • Thanks a lot man. Discovered my Stanton SCS3D which was just gathering dust is an awesome midi controller, just got it to work thanks to this tutorial. Thanks man :)

  • Hey man, do you know if it is possible to use a keyboard knob or button to switch a synth? Meaning you would press a certain button and you could toggle through synths or have a couple set up that you could assign buttons for.

  • I am using an oxygen 49 midi keyboard. Once i have assigned the keyboard knobs and sliders to the controls i want in reason, how do i store it. When i set it all up, close the programme down, then re open it the sliders and knobs i have assigned are all back at the default setting. How do i assign them to specific controls in reason and then save those settings as opposed to doing it again and again.

  • Ok so how do I go about using say an external midi device like a drum kit??? what are the steps man...

  • THAANKK UUU!!!

  • I have encountered a problem. I have an M-Audio Keystation 49e, and was working great with my Reason 3 for the longest time. Not I get the "X" next to the 'use with reason' (when selected) When I click on it it says " no mapping for 'the m-audio' found" and will not work with any of the sounds, like nn-xt, or any of them. Have u faced this prob? Can it be fixed?

  • thx alot

  • Hi man, got the same set up, it works for one controller, but not from the second onward ... help will be appreciated . Peace

  • you the man

  • really help me

    solid man

  • Thanks so much! This solved my problem!

  • Hey dude, i got a good question for ya. is it possible to have more than one controller going at one time. i am using reason to "loop" live on stage. i have a korg Padkontrol i want to use only for the drums. and i have a korg tritonLE i want to use for looping notes and so forth. what do ya think?

  • I think you might be able to do this

I think you just need to connect both controllers to Reason and then assign which ever controller to which ever control in Reason.

I will try myself to see if you are able to

  • dude i have the same keyboard but it wont work in reason it comes on the pc but it wont connect with reason at the Control surfaces and Keyboards i went toadd and wen i go to test if its working it wont do nuthing

can you shed sum light on this plz

    yours

    M.e

  • cool , thnx brotha , i didnt know i could do that , i gotta an axiom 25 and it works ,qbanricanplaya1 i recomend you the axiom 25 , well 49 is a better choice.

  • can't get the Trigger working in Reason...

Have the device defined as an external controller and MIDI signals are detected,

but the Pads trigger Send in Redrum instead of the samples....

    Any ideas ?

  • can u recomend a better key board cuz the oxygen sucked i returned it it was SOO CHEAP

  • may i recommend Korg MicroKontrol-google it..

personally i think the oxygen is a great piece of kit - also helps cos i do alot of travellin and it is portable

    but thats your opinion

if you have anymore questions just ask

  • i will second the micro kontrol. i admit to bias towards all things korg, back to the m1.

i find m-audio products to be decent enough but korg generally beats them.

  • Very very good video

  • thanks

  • please leave feedback - i know i made a few speeling mistakes but i made this quickly
