I do remember Mariah back in her heyday, and ever after all these years, this concert has remained a sentimental favorite of mine: she looks so fresh, alive, and relaxed. And, of course, she sounded amazing. :D

one of her best performances... maybe one of her last good performances of this song. Maybe on the soul train awards she did also as well. That ease of hers to sing this song back then WOW it amazes that much that some don't even understand it was actually recorded live. I "hate" that in 93 I was a just a baby cause I would've loved to witness those enormous days of hers. For me I have to rely on her DVDs and old performances to understand why she became famous for her voice, cause now she's not

@baretreemty You were just a baby? Awww! :D I was in my teens. Mariah's glory days were awesome. She really was fresh and dynamic and virtually unstoppable. People are cynical about her now, but back then she really did have The Voice, and her only rival was Whitney Houston.

While you might not have seen her glory days, be grateful you didn't see her fall into slutty half-assed singing. Not to mention her infamous mental breakdown period. As a fan, that was painful to watch/hear/see.

@FelicityKing Mariah has a lot problems because of her nodules and because of her nodules, she can hit that high notes... and she will not remove them because she doesnt want to lose her range and lol please Barbara and Patti just use classic vocals, in my eyes so boring while Mariah belted in her career belts and whistles that all these singers would dream of and even if she cant sing like this now, i still love her voice and she has/had more success then all these singers would just dream of.
