read his bio recently he was SO clearly a hyperactive child into an adult..sharp wit, fast mind very talented drummer...I was fascinated by what I read. Had he been treated for his hyperactivity he may well still be alive..but then again we'd have been deprived of such an enormous talent! In looking at these videos you can see in his eyes and body language the incredible amount of energy he had
@MusicIsDeadToday .. WOW i just saw that video to the right with Keith playing with Elvis.. Elvis was just about to say who was playing bass and Keith started Wailing away on the drums, and Elvis just looked back at him and laughed and shook his head LOL.. How EPIC!!
@MusicIsDeadToday .. I remember I was really excited to hear Ringo's son drum because he was taught by Keith, but he really wasn't that similar in style, although he was still good.
People come at Keith Moon just like they come at all other things that are original and not the same ol thing because they just don't understand pure genius, just like with most of the most influential people of our time... Peple will write them off sying they are crazy because they have new idea's or new style's of doing things... That WAS Keith Moon.. The most innovative and skilled drummers of all time. There wil NEVER be another.... Keith Moon
to the guy who who said about keith liking balls, i dont think this should of been flagged cos i think you referring to the interview when he's playing pinball and don;t think think you ment to be offensive
Keith Moon lived the life of the rock Star that he was and took life head on. God Bless him We're better for him having been in this world. R.I.P. Keith
@4efectos La primera que suena es : Underture, de The who, disco: Tommy, la segunda se llama: Wont get fooled again, de los Who, disco: Who's next, y la tercera es de ese mismo disco y se llama: the song is over ;)
I met Keith in "The Blue Moon", in Cheltenham and I've seen lots of drummers since. In my opinion, NONE were or are as good as Keith was at that young age. Today's musicians are crap by comparison, they are not hungry enough and get far more for putting in far less effort and that's not just drummers, all musicians today need to give more for what they get.
oooh, could you tell me where that photo was taken with that "There is no Substitute" plaque on the brick wall? was/is that a memorial wall or something in london or wembley with other famous musicians?
It is a picture of his memorial in Golders green cremotorium, London. There is also a blue plaque on a wall on Wardour street where the Marquee club used to be that is dedicated to Keith.
I always find that footage of him collapsing at the Cow Palace really distressing. It must have been annoying and worrying in equal measure for the rest of the band. It'd be nice to go back 30 odd years and try and stop him following such a destructive path in his life and then we wouldn't all miss him so damn much, eh?
Is the footage on here of him spouting obsceneties into the mic during the Led Zepplin encore? Y'know where Plant grabs the mic back, pats him on the back and says "Keith Moon!"
this is great but I would have left out the news clip about Neil Boland there is a lot of evidence that it wasn't Keith's fault and as it haunted him his entire life it just does not belong in a tribute video. I always design a tribute with the subject mind as if HE himself was watching it. Great job otherwise.
He died caused by Tabus, and others shits, authentic legal lab. poisons ordered ed by a bloody "doctor".If he just knew that smoking pot was enough to heal him he would be alive, but people wanted his money, made him go to the wrong place and "doctor". Instead going to AA, or even to a Chaman, to be cured by mushrooms or peyote. That "Doctor" is a killer, as all the bloody bunch of them.
what song is in the beginning?!!! BTW, i love ur vid!!! it's so amazing.... sad as well, their will NEVER be another Keith Moon. Neither will there be another John Entwistle!!! (notice the NEVER!) great vid!!! =')))
Excellent video! When the song changed to "The Song Is Over" I thought "Oh shit, sad times now. D:" and yeah, I got teary eyed. But that's the sign of a well-made video. Very nice work!

Wow, he finally has a marker at Golders Green!
When I was there in 1997, he had no real marker, you just stood at the field where his ashes were dispersed and paid your respects.

I´d gave my life for his.
