whenever i hear this song, it reminds me of both my sister Rachel (who died 31 years ago due to cot death) and my niece Millie-Grace (who died at 18 weeks gestation due to turner syndrome two years ago in July) i miss them both deeply and i will never forget either of them, R.I.P both of you <3 xxx

@JodeeL1997 I am so sorry. I had my yellow lab Mia, she died February 28th, 2011, and then my grandma who died back in either 2002 or 2003 because of breast cancer. Mia was almost 3

I'll never understand why God took all thoes people on 9/11, we need to rember it, but then, isn't it just as important to move on, since you can't change it? We can ask god why the people had to die, was it chance? or all part of the plan? But thereS no answer. Maybe we'll never know it. The parents can ask God why not them? why couldn't they be the one's that where taken? But it wasn't until I heard this song I relized that you NEED TO SAY; OKAY, I'M ALIVE, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO IN MY LIFE?

@Katniss1133 you have a beautiful philosophy, but i believe that it was all in His plan. God does everything for a specific reason. what we can never understand is why. what the purpose is may be revealed to us someday while we are here on earth, but, then again, it may not be revealed to us untili we go to heaven. we just need to trust in His perfect will!

This song is the best Song I have EVER Heard. I am 11 and my grandma is sick. 1st she Had a masive heart attack, then she broke her arm, after that she got cancer, and now she has damonia an she lives in indiana but she chooses 2 go 2 clark memorial but they wont find out whats wrong with her :(..

My fianc'e and I only had this bunny I'm about to tell you about for 3 months. Which as most people know rabbits can live up to 11 years. Well, I'm sad to say our bunny Georgia left us this very morning. And now all I can think about is this song and how it reminds me of all the good times we three had together in the 3 months we were together. We love her so very much. And wish she was still with us. She gave us kisses(licks) lots of them each day and cuddly hugs each night.

Sarah McLachlan wrote this song after reading about musicians turning to drungs as a release (and the death of a Keyboard player) and her own personal experiences of her temptation. However, I think anyone can take a personal relation to Love, loss, heartache. In my case after work when evening comes how I often feel after my pain releif meds "To need some Disraction or Baeutiful release" at the end of a long day from my gripping pain.
