My mining lvl is currently 65(i'm only lvl 73so i'm a noob) and i'm power mining granite till 60 mining then iron till 85.

You need at least 29 combat for the scorpions to not attack you.

I just started playing this game 3 weeks ago level 99 mining and 99 smithing is my biggest goal right now I'm still a noob level 28 with 46 mining and 41 smithing one day i hope to be as good as you good luck get level 85 smithing. If you have any tips that would really help a lot. I hope i can be as great as that someday talk to you later

The scorpions usually attack you because your combat is lower or close to theirs. If you have a higher level they won't attack you.
