song is pretty much written like a Take off your pants & jacket song, with the riffs n singing, harmonizing at the chorus with "i feel alone and tired" is the best harmonizing ever, beautiful song. best song on there latest album
The effects at the beginning are some of the best on the entire albulm. Apparently they got that sound by playing on a worn out tube amp from the 60's. (the tubes where so worn out that they where glowing purple)
to me it sounds that theres just a flange effect over some overdrive with the intro riff and the verse is is a clean guitar with a fuck load of phraser and a small bit of compression put on to it!
ya pretty much, cuz i've played with many diff. tube amps, and when the tube gets "warn out" wich pretty much means it's either dirty, or in a non working state haha, then the sound just gets sloppy and less loud, it wont flange, or Phase like that, That's just an electronic effect.

it resembles some of there new style
