Britain has finaly dicided to follow suit and you can see this in the deffence cuts to the army last year by merging battalions and cutting troop numbers dramaticaly. The royal airforce's budget however has exploded with more projecs to update weaponry and aircraft.

the royal airforce during the 1st gulf war had no guided bomb capability. they overcame this by using the bucanier to light targets while tornado gr1's dropped the bombs. only in the last 14 to 15 years have they been modernised. however the british infantry is proven to be the best in the world.

our history also proves this. but with the way wars are fought now air supremacy is the key. the US is fully aware of this and utilises it very well. look at their deffence budget for airforce alone!

bakermax5 the royal airforce still does hold a high stand on the world stage but i must say "and i am british" that the american air force is 100% with no doubt what so ever the best in the world! the american history proves this and can't be argued with.

you guys merely think in numbers and mass production...its all about the israelis in terms of training...even technology to an extent...and on top of that...no don't ask don't tell...they realize that sexual preference has little to no standing in modern militaries...though the British Supermarine Spitfires and Sopwith Camels and SE5As and DH2s of the past were definitely the planes of champions, Mr. Bakermax5.
