I say that it doesn't matter what you look like. I've met many "beautiful" people who are nasty & selfish inside. If you've got love to give than you're holding a winning hand. It is never you against the world. The individual needs to overcome their own self and realize they have nothing to prove. Happiness & joy really do come from within. :) You've just got to protect yourself from those who steal and put down to feel. Life is tough but we can overcome!! God bless and help us all.

My sister's anorexic, she dropped down to 5 stone at one point. She's been ill for years and we all want her to get better. It's hard seeing her do this to herself. This video is brilliant, and OTEP are an amazing band. I spent years self-harming and pumping myself full of drugs so I can understand how it becomes easy to keep doing it, but it's hard seeing someone you love hurting themselves.

the song is not about drug addiction, not even close. In the beginning it's about wanting to end it but if you do you won't be able to try again, and then it's about going through life needing to be perfect (my weight, my face, my height, my race, I'm such a disgrace...) but learning to see yourself as perfect instead of trying to make yourself so. It kind of talks about anorexia in a non-direct sense, about accepting yourself because everyone is "Perfectly Flawed."

the song doesnt have to be about cutting or anorexia. or for that matter for a speicific gender. its anything that you feel the need for it to be. psychological problems, physical, whatever. it's up to you to decide. personally i see it as the song says; we're all perfectly flawed and that should be no reason to end your life "dont you do this, you're not even you yet" as in we still have time to discover ourselves and find out who we are.
