@benyabkn That is true that all bosses can be beaten without item use. But seeing that I wanted the videos out quick, I didn't have time to go for a trial and error, especially since I'm recording.
You need to beat a few of the previous tiers to unlock the star tier. Whether that means beat the tier before it, I can't say. I always tend to do things in order.
im playing the Newgrounds version, and its frickin hard as heck, i cant beat Gravity man OR crocomire!

@scr515 Actually Crocomire is easy if you can avoid the fireballs, and the rocks and run jump on his head. I can't Gravity Man either

all bosses are possible without any flower ice or mushroom
you only need practice
i beated all without any thing except sword man, mr bright and mr shine or whatever is the name, and kamek castle
the others are ultra easy for me,
practice a bit more ;)

The Newgrounds version (as far as I know) is the only version that saves. You'd need to start over there in order to save your progress.

Just beat a few of the previous tiers to unlock it. Team Sonic isn't all that easy unless you can jump perfectly. Super Sonic is hard no matter what.
