I saw that you said you use your sketchbook paper for your drawing...is it just drawn with graphite? I am wondering how you painted over it without it smudging?
@LaPieta227 Hi :o) Thanks your your nice words. Yes she 's drawn on sketchbook paper with graphite. If you use a fairly "dry" graphite like "H", it won't smudge, and if it does it's no big deal beacause you paint over it.
Or you can spray your drawing with a sealer if you want, but even matte sealer make it slick and I don't like that. :o)
You are very very talented. I wonder what kind of wood is it that you used for this demo? I love the way you do your shading techniques. Any reason why watercolor and not acrylic? great work!!!
@Patrizia817 Hi Patrizia, thank you for your nice comment.
I painted this piece on masonite.( 8 x 8 inches)
I usually paint in acrylics, but sometimes I like to mix acrylics, oils and watercolor. Plus watercolor is very forgiving when it comes to shading a face, compared to acrylics.

But my favorite medium remains acrylics.
Glad you liked it ! :o
