Everyone in orlando loved him the crowd coaching staff the players and there a championship contending team and even with carter in the line-up there was always a starter postion at the SF. As an Orlando Magic fan, I do agree on the fact that the Magic will win this trophy. Why? They need revenge after last year loss, they're actually in a 8-0 run in the playoffs and a 14-0 before the playoffs. Their team is various and excellent (3-point shooters, defenders, post players)... but most of all, VC and Superman are here to make the dream come true! God bless the Magic players, fans and Staff!

Since then they have gone on long winning streaks and beaten every team in the league. And with Jameer a 100% and Vince carter (missing last year to challenge kobe) worked into the lineup...

I have the Hawks ahead of the Cavs this season. It's a much improved Hawks team from last years team that got swept by the Cavs. I like the Hawks starting 5 better than the Cavs and the addition of Crawford and his 16.1 PPG will prove to be huge for the Hawks. If Delonte can get back ito form it will greatly improve the Cavs squad but as of right now I have them 4th in the East behind Atlanta.
Orl has the $9 mill trade exception from the Hedo sign & trade and Gortat is going to be traded in the summer. Gortat would be starting for quite a few teams so it was a good idea to match the offer on Gortat so Orl can get value for him. The $9 mill trade exception will likely be used to get a backup Center. Gortat will be moved in a separate deal possibly along with Bass if Orl can find the right player. VC could also be on the chopping block in the summer if Orl can get Wade.

I have the Hawks ahead of the Cavs this season. It's a much improved Hawks team from last years team that got swept by the Cavs. I like the Hawks starting 5 better than the Cavs and the addition of Crawford and his 16.1 PPG will prove to be huge for the Hawks. If Delonte can get back ito form it will greatly improve the Cavs squad but as of right now I have them 4th in the East behind Atlanta.

Orl has the $9 mill trade exception from the Hedo sign & trade and Gortat is going to be traded in the summer. Gortat would be starting for quite a few teams so it was a good idea to match the offer on Gortat so Orl can get value for him. The $9 mill trade exception will likely be used to get a backup Center. Gortat will be moved in a separate deal possibly along with Bass if Orl can find the right player. VC could also be on the chopping block in the summer if Orl can get Wade.

Orl already is amazing. They couldn't keep Hedo & sign VC, it had to be one or the other. For people that truly follow bball we already knew Hedo was overrated. Look at his numbers before SVG took over as head coach. Before SVG arrived Hedo averaged 13.3 PPG, 4 RPG, 3 Ast & 2 TO. Under SVG Hedo averaged 19.5 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 5 Ast & 3 TO.
Hedo was simply a product of SVG's 4-out/1-in system and Dwight Howard is the only reason that system works. Look at Hedo's numbers in TOR they're awful.

He's right, it wouldn't have worked financially. The money Hedo would've been paid went to Gortat & Bass. While it would've been sick to keep them both becaue that would've given the Magic 2 of the top 5-7 clutch shooters in the NBA. That would've been a ridiculous weapon in the playoffs but... Orl wouldn't make it out of the second round without Gortat or Bass as it would leave Rashard & Anderson playing Center when Dwight is in foul trouble or getting a rest.

We couldnt really Keep hedo. We didnt have a back-up for Dwight so we had to re-sign Gortat and we have back ups for Hedo. Hedo was asking for to much money and so was Gortat and we really could only sign one.

The Lakers did pull out a championship. so what! They faced a depleted Rockets team(no Yao or Mcgrady) and basically were given the championship as a gift from the Magic(recall games 2 and especially 4 and you know what I'm talking about). The 2009 Lakers were probably the weakest championship team in the last decade. Plus, any way you look at it, the Lakers will not repeat and will get humbled by the Magic, Cavs, or Celtics.
