  • 7-1 in 2011 ;)

  • @troy324 4-0 sweep when in counts ;)

  • @MannyK8705 i know :/ still have nightmares from this series..... finally got a chance to talk smack now! GO CAPS hahahah

  • @troy324 hey, I'm a Wings fan first, Caps fan... like 4th! I want to see them succeed in the playoffs for once! :)

  • That was absolutely beautiful.

  • This is one of the many reasons hockey is the greatest sport in the world.

  • Vladimir Konstantinov and Gordie Howe are the only two wings players i have ever liked

  • I will never forget the day when he and the Wings won the Cup. It was such an amazing moment. I will never forget the day of his accident. I cried and hoped that it wasn't as serious as it turned out to be. I believed that the Wings, despite the huge hole without Vladdie would repeat as Stanley Cup Champs. I will never forget the day they repeated and Steve placed the Cup on Vladdie's lap. I cried seeing that. Number 16 forever.

  • i cried... one of the most touching moments ive seen in my entire life, and my oldest memory... i was 6 when this happened.

  • This was a beautiful moment then and it's still a beautiful moment now. Vlady was and always will b 1 of the best defenseman to play for the wings. He is still loved by wings fans today and he is missed by wings fans today. We still believe and I think that is what had helped Vlady get better aside from his drive to get better.

  • No matter how many times I watch this, I still get goosebumps.

Detroit still loves and misses you, Vladdy.

  • Awesome, beautiful--better than any of the real ones out there.

  • Dude you are the greatest!

  • there are very few things i remember as a child. i was seven years old when this happened. it has stuck with me ever since.

  • We miss you Vladdy!!!!!!

  • The VLADINATOR is the one that I remember as my most respected player in the NHL. I wear Vladimir Konstantinov's jersey to every game that I go to proudly and everyone I run into still remembers who he is. He will NEVER be forgotten!

  • @BauerHockeyVachon he was in a bad car accident along with Slava Fetisov and a Red Wings trainer. they were in a limo about 6 days after they won the 1997 Cup, and the limo driver was drunk when he crashed. Konstantinov has slowly gotten better over time, but was in a wheel chair for like 8 years

  • @MannyK8705 and sergei federov*

  • @MannyK8705 The way I remember it, the driver was high on weed, not that it makes any difference.

  • sorry i'm young i didn't remember , what happen to Vladimir Konstantinov ? thanks :)

  • amazing, dnt think it could b dun n e better than this

  • Beautiful.... thanks for posting.

  • This is simply amazing, we will always believe!

  • this video made my whole body tingle and freeze

  • Much better than that other vlad hwbm video

  • Gave me chills

  • This is the BEST "History will be made" commercial. Hubby and I are in tears now. It was truly a beautiful sight when the Wings won and I will never forget it.

  • The best one of these commercials, by far, puts tear to my eyes.

  • What if the refs wanted to take this one from Hockeytown?

  • gotta miss that old time hockey, avs and redwings rivalry best in any sport in history, love you vlady

  • @JetsRedwings

it can't beat the canadiens nordiques one :)

  • This gives me tears everytime I watch it. It is simply perfect. Every Detroit fan can remember where he was the morning they heard about this tragedy, and every Detroit fans remembers where they were when they saw Vladimir smile and touch the Cup the following year. Never forget; always believe.

    16

  • @BJaMsWorld Do u think that this only touches detroid fans?

  • @BJaMsWorld Number 16 lives on in our hearts forever!

    Lets Go Red Wings

  • @BJaMsWorld i remember it like it was yesterday. and i think i was only like 10. my favorite dudeeeeee

everyone remembers teh russian 5 when they came in to tha d

  • @BJaMsWorld not only detroit fans... i think hockey fans in general can be touched by this.

  • @BJaMsWorld I feel the same way. We Detroit fans will ALWAYS love Vladdie.....

  • @BJaMsWorld Even as a Colorado Avalanche fan, I still say this gets to me more than Sakic handing it off to Bourque (a gesture many thought was the classiest ever). Long love Vladimir Konstantinov.

    Believe.
