why do "The evil that men do", "the clairvoyant", "can I play with madness" and "infinite dreams" get all the credit and glory? This song is REALLY good and extremely underrated. The live version from 2008 is mindblowing, especially with the synthesizers replaced by proper guitar riffs. Makes it heavy as fuck.

Saw Maiden on this tour in Austin (god I'm old...). They opened with this song. The lights stayed out all during the intro and kicked on when the lyrics started. F*cking EPIC! I've seen Maiden five times, Rush eight times and countless other concerts...and that is STILL one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Iron Maiden aren't afraid to take you places. Like thier new album, i love it, most people think it sucks but ya know, no maiden album is the same. bands that can do that impress me unlike say Slayer were every song sounds the same. Maiden will always stand the test of time. Sure they're progressive but if they weren't i'd be bored of their music. Now if they'd just play Portland Oregon!!!!!! Bands progress that's just how it is. This is a good album. I used to think it sucked.

For me 7th Son was Maidens peak...80-88 are by far my favourite Maiden years, maybe because i'm an old fart but from 1990 onwards i went off them a bit. Moonchild captures the essence of Maiden perfectly.....Dark wicked lyrics,bass line from hell,powerful vocals and great solos. The7th Son album has such a tale to tell, put your headphones on,sit in a dark room and take a trip with Eddie and the guys.:))

Just because Blaze Bayley was the Singer for The X Factor and Virtual XI, doesn't mean that it was their fall, it just means that so-called "fans" can't accept anyone else but Bruce and Run to the Hills. The X Factor was a much deeper album than Fear of the Dark and No Prayer for the Dying, and that is why I consider those two albums as their downfall and The X Factor/Virtual XI their rise back up.

Dude, you can't find a better live show than Maiden. That was my third time seeing them in 8 years and they get better each time. This tour was recreating the entire "Live After Death" stage, and they mostly stuck to the "golden era" of Maiden like Powerslave to Seventh Son album, flat out amazing. If you get a shot, GO lol
