I don't know if you're still working on this game, but what about this suggestion:

Create an Alpha version (and Gamma for the extended moneybag variant, like yellow, crystal, emerald).

That way, you get double the downloads, double the advertisement income.

Make it pkmn-trendy ofcourse, make it so that not all pokemon can be caught, but some have to be traded, or if you really like the idea of catch'n 'em all in one game, how about using the map from Silver/gold for a next adventure?

@Yezpahr I haven't worked on FR Omega in years, but still, it's a hack. There's no point making multi versions in that context. I'd be surprised if it doubled the downloads at all tbh.

I also don't make any income from these hacks, I'm not a partner or anything so everything I do is free of charge.

@Zero11270 lg omega was just a test hack i did where i edited the gym leaders and elite four and stuff, they have the same number of pokémon and the rest of the game is unchanged

you can try a google search i guess, i removed the lg omega links a while back since it was totally obsolete

it's a special flag, 0x16F, but it's been so long since I did adv hacking I can't remember how to actually put it in the script

Has anyone here had issues with this game crashing at the first pokecenter in Viridian City? I'm running it with Boycott Advage v0.4 on a Mac running snow leopard, and I've tried redownloading the emulator, repatching a new FireRed rom. Any help would be really appreciated.

@Fishwiltz always use visual boy advance , if you use 1.7.2(link) you can even trade

@mrpokestuff1 The reason I prefer using Boycott Advance is because the "turbo" function runs a lot quicker, whereas in VBA it will max out at 200% speed, which is not much of an increase. I find with games like pokemon, where random encounters can really become tedious, that the extra speed makes it a lot nicer to play.

@NintendoNut777 .zip and .rar files are very similar. You can extract both using things like jzip, 7zip, winrar etc. So you can download the .rar, use jzip (or w/e other extracting app you want,) and then follow the rest of the directions in the description. Hope this helped :D
