Let's see if I got that right: he was saying that people used to tell him to change his name because a hispanic sounding name would be a disadvantage in Hollywood, but that now (40 years later) people are grateful for him sticking to his latino roots. Then he went into how BSG is a real and serious drama that is rooted in today's events, in contrast to Star Trek/Star Wars. Still, the presenter kind of seemed like a superficial jerk who couldn't get past the 'omg Latino in space' factor.
