This song has special meaning to me. I had never heard of Starfield until last February. As I sat by one of my favorite person's bedside as she was dying (my grandma) I needed something...and so did she. I brought in my speakers into her hospital room and fell upon this band...and fell to my knees. I know she loved this album too by how she grasped my hand.
AMEN! May this song be our prayers that we should let go of everything and follow after Jesus who died on the cross to save us! In Him we have hope!!!

Okey :) Well the song is about how someone is ready to sacrifice himself to God. When there's so much on this earth worth trying and dying for I think it's a waste of life letting yourself go for a uncertain thing somewhere in the universe.
I understand where you're coming from since I used to not believe in God. But don't forget that we come into this life with nothing, and we leave this life with nothing. At the end of a life, what matters most is not what that person gained, but how he/she lived. For me, living with my life sacrificed to God has meant giving as much as I can of myself to help others in need and trusting that I will be kept safe no matter where I am taken.

My money, possessions, jobs relationships, and decisions about my livelihood should all be for God’s glory. I have to abandon what I thought my life would be about or for, and surrender to God’s will for me. However, a lot of the time there are distractions.
@swushi999 Things get in the way, or I am just not sure what God’s will for me actually is. When this happens, I have to come back to my faith, pure and simple, and remember that my life is ‘All for You’ (as in, all for God). I have to let go of the control I have on my life, and give it back to God. It’s not about wanting to sacrifice my life to be with Him, it’s about metaphorically giving my life to God, so that I can live the way He wants me to, which I believe, is the best way :)
