i agree that better music could have been selected-not necessarily the traditional but at least a little eygptian sounding - but the isis wings are mezmerizing. Going to find me a pair. The balancing of the candles is also an awesome feat here. all and all excellent - but the music no like metioned above.
I agree with a previous poster, this music just isn't doing it for me... it sounds like video game music to me! I like Arabic, Turkish, North African, or even some Spanish music for bellydancing. Some electro/industrial/noise works for tribal and tribal fusion, but this just... took away from Neon's amazing skills.
Isis wings like these are generally made of organza, which is light enough to float and stiff enough to take the permanent pleating. I haven't seen ones like these elsewhere - usually they are semi-circles with a longer rod, but these are half ovals and I think the way she uses them is beautiful
I think that in this particular vid. she was trying to convey both in unison. This seemingly off-course technique may be odd to the un-trained eye but she uses much creativity, her movements are fluid and the emotions she display are more than convincing. Ofcourse, that's simply an on-looker's p.o.v.... >>
When dancing, although the music might not seem to fit the dance nor the dance to the music, one is only really trying to do one or both of two things. 1. tell/share a story and 2. make or allow the audience to feel the same emotions as the dancer is when performing.
please don´t be insulting! I don´t think arabian music is only ok if you´re arabian. Bellydance comes from arbian countries;-) and was alwas danced with arabian music! I didn´t say that NO other kind of music would fit to belly dance but This song is really not fitting. That´s my opinion and I have seen that there are others and that´s ok as well, you don´t need to become abusive if one says it´s opnion!
Beautiful, love the Isis wings. She reminds me of a fairy dancing you out to the woods!

I'm not a bellydancer yet but I'd really like to become one. I don't think there's really anything wrong with the music.
