I like Bosch. This was very nicly done. The band Deep Purple used one of his paintings for thier 3rd LP. That's what turned me on to him. You paid a good tribute. Thanks :)
bosch is incredible.. it seems he's depicted the various levels of hell, as dante did linguistically.. everything hieronymous did was spellbinding. thank you for this, as well as the history on the sidebar!
Thanks for the share flybreath, although his work is instantly recognisable to me - I know nothing about him - so I will read th info in depth. Fascinating I am sure.
Hehe, thanks for the info on the side, but if you don't mind me asking - did a large chunk of that information come from the Phaidon Arts & Ideas book on Bosch? :)
Anyway, although I'm more of a contemporary art girl myself I absolutely adore Bosch (and most of the Northern Renaissance) - but his work just really jumps out. It's so special, if you see details they're like modern illustrations. Wonderful and very, very inspiring.
I have to describe some of the objects he did in his piece where it shows his vision of hell its a magnificent work of art I really like it. Also great choice of music
Oh wow, i found this on accident. I'm glad i did. I'm a huge Botch fan. One of the masters! What an amazing guy considering the time period. Thank you for spotlighting him. I added this as a favorite. He's a huge influence on my songs.
5 stars for sure. Cool music too very beautiful flowing type of sounds and cinematic too.

Perhaps Salvador Dali drew some sort of inspiration from this artist? maybe, maybe not, just putting it out there...
Sadyrak 2 years ago
he did indeed!
thaskef 2 years ago
I think yes. Salvador is Spanish. Lot's of Bosch art is conserved in Spain

@Sadyrak that was my first thought upon seeing his work.

I'm a little drunk right now.
My legs feel like my shoes are boats on the water, and my insides are an abused tavern.
But , on other days, I can resemble other parts of the garden.

Too bad there aren't many talented artists like Bosch today, who have his creativity and bold perception.
