...Zuko is one of the main characters. Aang is THE main character. And that not being the point, minor characters are important to any show. They have issues and add something to the plot. They matter too. Plus, if you can't grasp it for any other reason--it fit the song. Oooooooo! Besides, the main characters aren't as fun. Aang is the avatar: very awesome. Ty Lee pokes people and defeats them with minimal effort: super f***ing awesome.

Wow. Incredible! I absolutely love this song, but you not only matched the right clips perfectly, but also brought a deep message behind it for each character, especially Aang and Zuko, and I like that kind of thing. xD

Thank you! Aang and Zuko always deserve awesomeness, they go through a lot but I really wanted to bring forward Mai and Ty Lee's stories. Betraying Azula/choosing to do the right thing was no easy choice and they have to deal with what they've done (pun unintended) in the past. There will be a lot of regret there, we just don't see it. All we ever see is Aang and Zuko's "I screwed up" moments.

Well yes, making a "loaded vid" takes time and then if you lose your muse then the project just sits there and waits for you to be inspired again. That's usually what takes me so long.

thanks! i hated this song as the ender theme for the Transformers movie. It made no sense and I was telling my roommate that it suited Avatar better and then I went "ooooooo" and got all excited and spent a month of my summer doing this. It fit so well.

Also... I feel like you could have matched the lyrics a teensy bit more. Like, for "...erase myself..." you could have made an effect of one of the characters disappearing. Just a thought. ^^

Sorry. But youtube changes so much that I don't know how to make it fit. Plus, I don't like the full screen fit.

Plus, my style is a bit abstract, if I can't fit a clip to the lyrics then I find a clip where the motion matches the sound. So Ty Lee flipping through the air goes in tempo with "e-rase-my-self". I'd sooner do that than try to erase the clip. I don't like that myself. Besides, this video is old. I got deleted and I only just got it up again.

Oh, well, for best results, a video should be exported from the editing program in its native dimensions, without letterboxing (top+bottom bars) or pillarboxing (left+right bars). That way you won't get a tiny little video anywhere, like this Youtube player here, and it'll fit as best as possible anywhere you upload it. ^^

Yea, but even if you cut them out, then you should be able to export the video as 16:9, rather than 4:3 with black spaces where the Nick icons used to be. ^^

I checked, this is 16:9. It's a widescreen format--somehow i got pillarboxed. anyway, i'll keep a note of it and see if i can get it to work. i don't want to mess with this one since it's already up, but future vids will hopefully fit better.

Did you actually render it out as 16:9, though? Because I think all you did was matte the 4:3 video, (put black bars over the top and bottom of the clips), and then rendered the video as 640x480 with the black bars, which is still 4:3. To test it, you can view the video in Media Player and see if it has black bars or not. :)

To get 16x9, in the File>"Render As" pop up, click the 'custom' button, and in the video tab, in the image size menu, select a 16:9 option (640x360 or 1280x720). ^^

Oh and, of course you shouldn't mess with this one anymore, since it's already on Youtube, but as a video editor you should still know this information about aspect ratios and using the correct ones, so that your future ones will be correctly exported. ^^

I'm fine with this. I never had the full song in there anyway, I cut out a chunk of the beginning because the instrumental intro was so long I didn't want to deal with it.

College is eating my life, what can I say. Katara is really the only new one I've put out. Transformers and this one are both a year or so old. I never put up Transformers and am trying to get the ones youtube took down back up.
