I am unfortunate enough to be allergic to something in these bears( It was a a gift to me when I was foster child). They caused painless swelling in my face over several hours of close contact. ( I used to sleep with it at night). I tried sleeping without it and the swelling went away and when I tried sleeping with it again it came back. I loved that bear. I am sad I had to give it away. Fortunately I am not allergic to anything else. :)
Spinoza bear!!!? Did they name it that because the Jewish community of Amsterdam put the 'she-bear curse' (from 2 Kings 2:23-24) on the philosopher Baruch Spinoza?
