Basics, always the basics. You can follow our LEVEL 1 & 2 programs that are posted on our web-site, MichiganMilitia.c om and check out U.S. Army field manual FM -7-8. Don't plan on being a SWAT TEAM or SPECIAL FORCES, just do what average, everyday in shape or out-ofshape people can do and contribute. We have a wheel chair bound member who can drive & shoot. He is far from useless. He says no one will consider him a threat, but they will be sorry when they get in range. You gotta love it.

Thank-you, I don't have any problems with the U.S. Constitution, it is a great bill! I've read it before & the only thing I disagree in is "I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice." The last part I don't have a problem with as long as the orders given by the officer doesn't violate the Constitution or Civil liberties. Our Canadian Charter is almost the same.

Not at all, we support our Republican form of government. We are a constitutionally limited republic and our Second Amendment ensures the "right of the people to keep and bear arms." If you read the Federalist Papers, you will see these reasons for an armed citizenry was to prevent an overpowering central government from using federal troops against the people. My thinking is that all Americans should be taught early on how to defend himself/herself against the entire enchiladas of evil from criminals, fraudulent corporations, predators of all genres, etc. Martial arts, the teaching of our rights and laws, the constitutional restrictions on government, etc., should be part of the curricula. Command structure is simple, groups are local, 25 to 50 core members. An elected coordinator plus volunteer staff. Then training qualification levels. Basic-Level 1 Rifleman, Advanced-Level 2 Rifleman, and last Rifle Team Leader. The last level all should try to achieve. We are not military, so we do not pretend to be. Although some of us are Vet's. The core is our focus in training, because in times of trouble is when others decide to join.

If 50 people show up to join, we would break them up into groups of 5 with a Team Leader or Level 2 member to train them and work as a squad. This is the importance of the Core.

The state wide or national groups that"once existed" were subject to EGO's, arm chair wannbe warloards spouting orders and decree's. One side of the state wants to declair war over a secret FEMA base hidden in the local high school, the other half of the state thinks they are NUTS. Localy, I know you and events.
