    Sir,

this tune and many others by the good reverend is tip top. If I have offened you by mearly giving an oppinion & using a metaphore then I apologise unreservedly. whoever recorded this song in however bad a manner captured the 'feel' of the genre really quite well. Finally never having meet you our been able to engauge you in conversation as to the quality of sound recordings or the ability of the recordist I will refrane from comenting on your mental state.

    Pacem amo bannanas.

  • @maroci64

mate, it's not about the 'audio quality' (sound quality to mear mortals)

these guys are the best neo rockabilly band since 1341.

take your finger from your bottom & get primative.

    Thanks for posting, friend.

  • Uhh at 2:46 its the other guy singing... And I love me some reverend, and I am a sinner.

  • actually that would be vocal reverb on the mic . . .if you'll notice jimbo doesn't have a microphone in front of him. . .

  • ha ha hes not even singing!

    look at 2:46

  • he is using reverb on the vocals its actually rather common

  • Boy, i hope the folks in the audience knew what they were in for!

  • i love the ROAARRRRRRR at the end

  • COME TO AUSTRALIAAAAA

  • I saw them at a free show in Dallas. It blew me away. My dad had wanted to see them like 18 years ago before I was born and he wanted my mom to go but she was Pregnant with me and she didn't want to damage my unborn ears! so I made it up to him by taking him to their free show. Next to X it was the best show I've been to. The thing that makes X better was I met them and they signed their set list for me.

  • I have heard amazing things about X, but i saw the rev live and i would agree, that is one of the best shows i have seen. I met him after the show and he signed my guitar.

  • Conan was definitely the best for music! first time I've ever heard saw slipknot! nearly shit myself it was so amazing! first time ever hearing system of a down too. great stuff.

  • thr rev will always live on he has heart, my fav band hands down i dont even own any other bands cds just rev way to live man

  • Conan is sick for music! Letterman has its moments too. Both tend to play real underground bands.

  • if anyone says this isnt real music needs to grow some fuckin balls

  • WHOO!! Fuck YEAH!! Now that's music, son.

  • The REVEREND is the REAL DEAL!! Been rockin' the fuck out of America now for 25+ years...do yourself a HUGE favor and go catch'em live...they are AWESOME!!

  • Seen the Rev dozens of times and I'd consider them the best live act in America.

  • @vandal85 ... he did a tune bout licking pussy .. wd luv to hear it again! No idea what it was called tho :(

  • @fuzzilu "Slow" same album

  • @fuzzilu they also have a great tune about talking your girl into letting you watch while she masturbates, it's called "Do It". lmao

  • @welcome2myhell no it's called "One time for me"

  • @welcome2myhell no it's called "One time for me"

  • seen them many times at Ricks in Denton and they never failed to put on one kick ass show. Great to see live or when your driving dirt roads with your buddies.

  • I remember watching this live....

  • Good catch, Jimbo!

  • How long have these guys been around?

  • Atleast since the 90's...but prolly the 80's

  • Their first album "Smoke 'em if you Got 'em" (on SubPop) came out in 1990.

  • long time.

  • Don't know where to start, everything is so cool. Preach it, Rev, preach it!

  • REV IT UP & GO ....CAT GO !!!!!!!

  • Absolutely brilliant! That guy can play a wide body guitar! Been listening to Heat for years!

  • So f*in gutsy to do that song on Late Night

  • DAMN i thought taht bass was gunna break so many times!

  • i've seen 'em Twice and no other band sound better than their recorded

  • nice 4 a rock song

  • wtf is wrong with rock to begin with?

  • nothing it's obvious tho that I don't listen to rock

  • then whats the point of going to a rock video on youtube?

rap sucks. if your not into that then sorry for incinuating. real soul goes into effort of instruments and singing.

  • yo obviously never listened to anything but mainstream rap.

  • I saw him at Main Street Live in dallas. AMAZING!

but the crowd was full of dooshbags that wouldn't let us wreck worth shit.

  • Ya! wail man, Wail!

  • does anyone know the date the reverend was on Late night.

  • @themoose23 1997? Something like that...

  • can anyone upload the normal song please im looking for it a long time but can't find it with good quality ^^

  • buy the cd dumbass

  • stfu and gtfo if u dont have anything useful to say stupid youtube ppl don't have any life and complain about every comment that was postet 2months ago

  • like I said buy the CD dumbass...if you like him, support him and pay for a CD.

  • Dude, unless they are selling it themselves, the artist makes virtually NO money from CD's. Go see him live when you can. That's feeding the artist DIRECTLY.

  • that's good advice you got there... LIVE MUSIC RULES!

  • I love the raw energy of this song.

  • damn! hes amazing!

  • I'm obsessed with Reverend horton heat!

Finest band I've heard. I see the rev like most 15 yr olds see people like Slash etc. (I chose 15 cos i am 15)

I was so annoyed when i heard that there was a gig with Hank 3, These guys, and Th' Shack shakers in one show i was so annoyed that I'm in the UK!

Oh well, I saw these guys this year,And next year, The shack shakers said i could and play Ichabod with them when they next play in london! All thanks to a youtube guitar video i made!

  • thats awesome man, good luck.

  • Wow, that was great.

  • So classic, The Rev. :) Please back to NY.

  • the great reverend

  • How many of these kinda shows is there in the States? every time I come on you tube and see a band from a show, its never the same host!

  • The main ones are Jay Leno, David Letterman, Chris Ferguson, Conan O'Brien (this one) and to an extent, Jimmy Kimmel.

  • Well, there are three main TV stations that have these kinds of late-night shows, and two of those stations have two of these shows. The other has one.

  • him and brian setzer, DAMN

  • this is my favorite rev. song, i saw them live in denver earlier this year they fuckin' ruled

  • Is that Ckalja on guitar?

  • I think I'm going to pass up a family trip to Hawaii next year to see these guys in San Jose, CA...

  • I saw them about 10 years ago in San Jose at a club on 7th & south 1st. I worked a half block away in a tattoo shop. It was well worth losing the money from a Sat. night. I just remembered the the club was called The Usual. Let me know if it's still there. I live in baja now.

  • Rev Horton fkin ROCKS. His 2nd album was produced by Gibby (BH Surfers) Haynes

  • On F'n Fire! A smokin' hot band in their prime here.

  • I remember this show. You can tell they had a huge impact on Conan. They are definitely consistent with Conan's "style". He fits right in with that pompadour. :)

Kick ass high energy! My favorite band.

rent love & a loaded gun with renee zelwigger.

  • That movie with Zelwigger and The Rev is Love and a .45

  • if i could figure out how he made that train sound at 1:30 , id be really happy. anyone kno a tab?

  • sounded cool, eh? I wish I knew and could tell you.

  • From the sound of it he's playing the 6th fret on the D, 7th on the g, and the 8th on the b. The first little two note sound, he's muting the strings with his fretting hand. On the second, he starts it the same, but the second little pluck he yanks up on the whammy and wiggles it around a little.

I'm not sure if that's exactly what he's doing, but those were the things I did to get that little train sound.

  • thanks a lot

  • you can get those by playing a minor 2nd interval and using a volume swell.

3rd fret G string, open B string. That's an effective one for the key of E or E minor. (I don't know if that's the one the Rev is playing here but it'll work)

To do a volume swell you can use a volume pedal or the master volume knob on your guitar if you have one and it is in the right position. Start with the volume off, pick the strings and roll up on the volume.

    Practice up.

  • that last response was meant for lexicondevilfilms

    Sorry for the missplacement

  • I push the fortinizer pedal than tweek the gatastramis while pulling on the 4-A flat minor button.

  • thank you

  • are they local to ohio or where are they from

  • Texas, dude... Texas.

  • Dallas,Tx,

  • Preach on Rev!! Preach on!! These guys F****ing RULE!!!

  • Great bit of pyschobilly.
