you say that this car may possibly have engine damage from a broken timing belt.
This not a true statement. The 5S-FE as well as most other Toyota engines are
NON INTERFERENCE engines. Meaning that the valves and pistons DO NOT occupy the same space and therefore will NEVER make contact. This job is as simple as resetting the timing marks on the cam, and crank, and installing a new belt.
Also don't forget to check the Cam, crank, oil pump seals, and oil pump "o"ring. as well as the water pump.
now im only 17 man so i might be a little off but most of the time if u need valves too its because u have inaference engine which basicly whats happens with these is they dont have spare room for mishaps and when u break ur timing belt they extend further causeing a impact (slap) thusfore this would cause them to disform( or bend/twist ) which they then need replaced and you might as well just replace em all shop can charge upwards to 600-1300 for everything repaired
Belts should be changed every 60 to 80k miles. Thats why i hate timing belts... engines with chains are sooo much better... they can go to 200k miles and only be stretched...
That damn thing doesn't need valves. the only engine toyota made that was interference and timing belt was the old 80's tercels.

At 1:25, between the porno music, the loud bang and the engine running, it is hard to hear what you say, but overall nice video.

"Need a Valve" what? You say it at about 1:15
And what do you say at 1:24? The music and noise makes you inaudible.
How often should a timing belt be changed? Ever 90K miles or so?
