I have dozens of tattoo's all over my body and every single one means something to me. What I don't understand is why people get them for no apparent reason other than to just cover skin or to impress their peers, I'm not talking shit, I just don't understand it.

i just got my tattoo today its on my arm and it says "family first" my family and i have been to hell and back together and somehow someway we've pulled through and i have no idea where id be without them. So this tattoo was in honor of them, and maybe in honor of a future family of my own some day. Bottom line is they're not stupid, but not to be taken lightly, i thought about mine for 2 years before i got it, why rush something thats gunna be on you the rest of your life?

To everyone with a negative response. FYI tattoos have been in society long before America was even established. Tattoos are a form of self expression. They also can help imortalize lost family members to ease suffering or trauma that came with losing a person in their life.

Soldiers, leaders, classes in society and tribes(that's where the tribal theme comes from) uses tattoos to identify themselfs with untill this day..

It wasnt hurt that bad, seriously. I got my tattoo on leg, chest and half of my back. Tattoo is hurt, but then again when you really like something, you wont feel the pain that much. The excitement cover up the pain. ^^

I have one on this exact place. All tattoo's hurt, I think that's actually part of the point. If you don't like the pain of getting a tattoo then you don't deserve to get one it's rally that simple. I get so many people asking me if my tattoos hurt to get...of course they do it's a fucking tattoo!
