In my opinion, Halo takes skill and effort to take down another player. That and build your own maps. Create you own Spartan. A great campaign, And some kick ass matchmaking.
In CoD you just put 2 or 3 rounds in a guy and BOOM hes dead.
However CoD offers Extremely competitive gamers and the sweet satisfaction of getting a high kill-streak.

I'm not hating on battlefield 3, I played battlefield 2 and it was amazing, it's just annoying when people hate on games that are actually good.

@dapickleman33 don't get me wrong, I love the n64 and it's games, and as I'm sure many other people miss the classic such as goldeneye and zelda, but the 360 and the games it brings are much better, you can have 16 people in a single match which is epic. Not to mention the fact that halo has an awesome campaign and custom maps. The classics were fun, but you could only play them when you invited a bunch of people over, with live you can do it anytime, and there is nothing repetitive about halo

Fallout New Vegas definitely. Reach had 100000 commercials aired within 1 week. Black Ops had a # of commercials as well. Reach got VERY boring after 1 month. I NEVER get bored of games. hmm when i was younger playing call of duty and halo CE i never dreamed that these 2 games would ever be compared wow it's funny what consoles can do to kids these days. If you want my opinion bungie's engine seems allot more sufficient to animations meaning it seems easier for them to animate models. This is something i learned with Valve's Source Engine and also The Unreal Engine.

But it really doesn't help that they put out a new game every single year. And the core gameplay pretty much doesn't change. A few shots to kill, killstreaks, perks. When's the last time something has changed dramatically?

@lazerlight2010 well lets see, COD can have 1 million cool looking guns, but the fack is that you can have a Glock, or a fucking Belt-fed Gatling gun, and you will still kill players with 2 body shots or 1 headshot, in Reach we got like 10 or 15 guns alltogether but each one serves it purpose, I cant kill people the same guy using a Needler and a Shotgun, thats why it is more fun

hmm when i was younger playing call of duty and halo CE i never dreamed that these 2 games would ever be compared wow it's funny what consoles can do to kids these days. If you want my opinion bungie's engine seems allot more sufficient to animations meaning it seems easier for them to animate models. This is something i learned with Valve's Source Engine and also The Unreal Engine.

@TimesplittersToGmod Tbh i dont think the kids started these things Microsoft did when they entered the console market. 2 consoles competing to get more players on their system and then what do we see at E3 don saying "So when you want to play call of duty over the next few years you'll wanna play it on xbox" microsoft is doing a lot more to get multiplat games to give something to the xbox which the game will not give to the ps3 (Or do it better on the xbox) but in the end money is the fuel....
