  • Looks like the old unit is still doing well.

  • I was in the 2nd Mar Div Band from 90 thru 94. I deployed to Dessert Shield/Storm with them.Out of 21 years in the service, I am most proud of the time I was at Lejeune!!!!

  • This is a true Marine Band! All of these kids started their careers at Parris Island or San Diego unlike the Presidents Own "token" musicians. Those guys in DC can' march a straight line compared to these field bands. A shout out though to MGYSGT Thom Kohl- retired Drum Major of the Presidents Own who, by the way, started out at the "Divi Band" in 87. Nice job! Keep it up!

  • I am honored to have been a part of this distinguished unit, so many years ago. Upon graduating the Armed Forces School of Music in 1988, Top Mike told me "welcome to the 5500 field Marine; serve it, and serve it with pride." I'll never forget. Semper Fi to all 5500s. Ross Riley

  • So why does it say Camp Lejuene?

  • because the 2nd marine division band in Camp Lejuene had to cover for the Parris Island band because they went on leave

  • Gotcha...

  • my mom works at this base!

  • Someone has been going to "Friday Evening Parades". Field bands doing drill? (sorta) Good job!

  • lol
