Raistlin is one of the best made fantazy characters of all time. I especially like how he had sympathy for the weak and the mocked. How he always treated Bopu with respect really added to the depth of his character.

@theichorvile caramon tells him that he wins and becomes a god at the cost of destroying everything... it shocks him and when he snaps out of it he sacrifices himself so that caramon crysania and tass can get out of the abyss... he later gives palin his nephew the staff and dagger of magius (and his spellbook in summer flame) because he knew palin would need them in the future.... (my theory is his cursed eyes showed him the chaos future because they show all things as time effects them)

Don't get me wrong I loved Dragonlance but in Chronicles it seemed every plot was solved with some "new spell." Legends was worlds beyond in terms of writing quality. Not that I disliked Chronicles.

Ah, Raistlin... Words can't describe that man. Of all the characters I've met through books, he stands out as the Shalafi above all. He's such a double nature - kindhearted yet cold and cruel, faithful yet deceitful, weak to the point of death yet stronger than anyone else. An exceptional personality.

Uh, no. Raistlin hated his brother out of jealousy. His only care for his brother was his use for him and he let him go because he no longer needed him. This was made clear in the Twins Trilogy.
When you think about it, the authors masterfully duped the readers into being as naive and foolish as Caramon.

I've read the Chronicles saga, Legends saga, the 5th time saga, the War of Souls saga, Kang's regiment books and two of the Dark Disciple books, and I still haven't found a character that could best Raistlin Majere. He's just the ultimate wizard.
Palin Majere. Casted the only spell that the greatest mage before Raistlin was unable to cast. Add to that the fact that Raistlin himself could not cast it. Just a thought.

i completely agree with you but people cannot easily understand dragonlance that's why the only movie related to magic is harry potter which sucks raistlin is a character with perfect story and very complicated for the people who have no idea of dragonlance

Raistlin is my all time favorite.. I think he is the most powerful too.. but this song,,,, I am in the U.S, never heard of these guys.. are they Satanic? I like the song though but usually bands like this are not allowed to promote album sales because of they are considered satanic over here, they try to ban them. Just wondering

I've read the Chronicles saga, Legends saga, the 5th time saga, the War of Souls saga, Kang's regiment books and two of the Dark Disciple books, and I still haven't found a character that could best Raistlin Majere. He's just the ultimate wizard.

Palin Majere. Casted the only spell that the greatest mage before Raistlin was unable to cast. Add to that the fact that Raistlin himself could not cast it. Just a thought.

One of my favourite songs this. Raistlin was kinda my least favourite character in a way though he was best portrayed in the books. Test of twins was awesome.
