I was born on Galloway Street in Ardwick in 1958, I went to Armitage Street school.
We lived in a two up and 2 down, there were 6 children and our parents. We went for a at the baths. through the week in was a sink job! Our loo was outside in the back yard and I remeber playing close by to the empty bombed out buildings. We all moved to Sale about 1963. Been all over the world but this place is my home..my Gran Grandad Aunts cousins, we all lived in close proximity. A community was destroyed .
