  • BTW, Hennessey... please, please, please made some horsepower mods for the 370Z. The only thing out there are intake/exhaust and headers. we need some real power and are gonna get creamed by Camaros and even your Genesis. Throw us a bone.

  • Think the vid poster should check his facts. While i cant say ive tested one i bet a standard car does 0-300 alot quicker then 53.3 considering it does mid 11's on the qtr @190km/h.

    Also while its def quick all you ppl saying its amazing need to go and check out the Veilside R32 0-300 in 13.72. Now thats amazing.

  • even if the car generate 1000hp, i dont think the gearbox could hold the massive power... but in this case it should be faster than stock gtr... maybe about 200mph+

  • there are already available upgrade kits for transmission, with bigger and stronger cogs for all gears, so it could possibly withstand 1000 hp.

    The point is that 0-300 for this GTR takes under 25 seconds, while a Ferrari Enzo takes 26 seconds for 0-300. that is amazing.

  • Talking about the transmission it can hold the 600 HP but in comfort or normal mode where the toque converter kicks and it's reduced to don't damage the transmition. Also it would be 0.1 slower (about 0.3 to change)

  • It seems that on 5th gear the clutch slips and it revs fast. Is it me or it was for real?

  • transmission upgrades are being tested right now and will be available very soon. at some point there will be GTR's running low 10's and possibly high 9's in the 1/4 mile on street tires with very good reliability. its just a matter of time.

  • very fast- wow. Still would rather have a mid nineties supra turbo, whose stock trans can handle 700hp. 20k supra with 20k in upgrades could equate to about 900hp, (single turbo, etc) would be much cheaper than this vehicle, but also wouldn't be AWD or as interesting... anyway, cool vid, nissan is blowing it on the transmission, they need 2 step it up. Nissan put all this work into making it as fast as a 911 turbo, but as soon as you beat on the car or upgrade it the trans goes. still beautiful

  • the GTR's stock transmissions are unable to handle the power when excceded 600hp, this is why all the tuned R35 GTR in Japan are keep at max of 600hp........ not until they have resolved the transmission issue...... u r looking for a massive bill for a new transmission since the transmission for the GTR aint cheap as all.............. and salvaged transmission wont work because the R35 transmission is designed to only capable to work with the engine that is it assigned to.

  • i don't think there is any twin clutch tranny on the market that can handle 600+ hp stock. I commend nissan for offer a high hp twin clutch tranny vehicle with launch control. No one else will even offer it in America.

  • Not true. The Veyron uses a DSG-style tranny, and it's built for 980bhp+.

  • Sounds like the clutch slipped at the top of each gear...and fairly radically at the top of 5th. They need to work that out for sure. Nice ride. They will be breaking 1000 rwhp in these inside of 5 years...easy.

  • Every bodys going for the 1000 hp,,but what use would that be if its Laggy,,SIP has made a responsive 707 Bhp R35 and once it gets it PPK transmission the torque will increaced to 700+,,a responsive 850Bhp R35 will kill almost anything even some 1000hp skylines

  • you are correct, the clutch in 5th gear slipped, so i short shifted to 6th gear.
